I have heard that but also if injury was what I heard don't really see how or at least not at same position

Seeing him on the sideline the last two games, he doesn’t move like someone who had a season ending injury.  I would not be surprised to see him come back during district in some capacity.

Week 1 injury is going to try to play sometime soon, correct ??

It won't be the first time. Si Blackshire injured his knee at Kilgore the opening game of the season. He was a senior and led the DAWGS to their first Championship while wearing a sleeve. I would love to see the kid return and have success his senior year but not if its going to cause further injury that could have an impact on his life.

Against Marshall Friday - your guess, will Carthage throw for 170+ yards or will they throw for less than 170 ??

Thats a good over/under. I guess slightly over. 2 td's with 2 ints.

Its definitely possible, Carthage has a lot of injuries to get sorted, early season, new starters in lots of positions.

It’s also possible Jett will throw five touchdowns in the first half again, ha, we really just don’t know!

😃

I doubt Carthage will score 5 td's total in the whole game. I think they will score about 24 points.

I hope you’re right because not only can he run the ball, he is outstanding catching passes.

If the Dawgs win this game with all the injuries they have, they will not loose another game.

What do you mean if? This is Carthage. The C gives you strength.

I'd be hesitant to put bulletin board material in the locker room of a program that is 100-2 since their last loss to a local team..... regardless of what kind of condition they're in. I'm pretty sure they've overcome some adversity here and there along the way.

I'm a Carthage fan. Of the bandwagon variety 🤣

We shall see.

I'm just talking straight smack 😂

I've  followed Carthage since 2017 and been in attendance for every championship since then.

I would love to see a good game every now and then 🤷

The fact that Marshall is 5a there is at a least a chance for one.

Marshall has all of the elements to be a solid team. I just don't think this game will be close. If Marshall can stay balanced and get some consistent first downs, they would stay in this game. I just don't think they will against Carthage front 7.

Mavs could hang with Carthage if we are talking skill position only, but Mavs are struggling on both interior lines this season. No returning starters on either, but I do think Alverez is using these non district games to move people around and shore it up.

If Marshall wants to have a chance, they will need to put together their first 4 quarter performance of the season. Marshall has proven to be a second half team under Alverez, but against these top teams, we got to do better from start to finish.

We all know Surratt will have Carthage coached up from the very beginning. Marshall is very predictable, so we must critique ourselves and find ways to better disguise things. Learn to show run and end up passing and vice versa.

Last season, we had a better running game and couldn't run very well against Carthage. This season, we do have a better passing game. So I think we can be more balanced. More Diego and Shaw at wr to provide speed on the outside. Whaley would make a heckuva TE if he is at least an average blocker. Stop the safeties and Lbs from keying on the run. That's the recipe for success this year imo.

If we keep this game competitive, I will leave encouraged. Similar to our games vs Longview.

Cash only is normal - during week and at game………tickets being sold during this week at a store in town, like normal.

We had just moved back to Carthage and missed the first game or two and I think the first one we went to was home game vs maybe henderson.  I was super excited to finally see the Dawgs all time leading passer and was bummed to find out he was out for the game, but little did I know we had a RB wearing #22 who would light the whole state on fire that season.  Ya'll know who I'm talking about.  Avg something like 10-12 yards a carry and could've easily ran over 5,000 yards had he played 4 quarters, heck,  maybe even 3.  Hate that it didn't work out at TCU.

Dwight Smith played one year at a small Arkansas college alongside his high school QB, Si Blackshire.
