BevBrownJr Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 MHS hits a 40-yard bomb on its 1st possession of the 2nd half.
BevBrownJr Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 MHS gets on the scoreboard with 5:44 left in the 3rd quarter on a nice 75-yard drive. CHS 35, MHS 7
PantherNation2015 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I’m case y’all are interested, Spring Hill and Brownsboro are headed to OT tied 21-21.
BevBrownJr Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 MHS scores on its 2nd straight possession after recovering a CHS fumble on a completed pass. CHS 35, MHS 13 with 10:07 left
PantherNation2015 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Shout out to #70 for Carthage. Has played every offensive and defensive snap so far. Iron man football!
SmoakyBandito Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 (edited) Get this game over with. Both teams talking too much. This one is over. Edited September 16, 2023 by SmoakyBandito 1
BevBrownJr Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 CHS hits 40-yard FG to bring the score to 38-13 CHS with just over 4 minutes remaining.
mav01 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 If Marshall played this inspired the first half, we may have had a game. Losing that first kickoff and being a running team hurt any real chances. I'm interested in why they gave Carthage the ball on the onside kick. We came up with the ball. Marshall's been a 2nd half team the whole year. They got to learn how to come out playing with confidence.
mavfanpanamacity Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I see Carthage’s best or 1A receiver #5 was out with a injury. Manning is a stud. That was a big loss for Carthage tonight 1

As frustrating as it is… and as ugly as it makes our early record every season…. it makes us better for district. Who in our district is better than Longview? No one. Who in our district is better than Carthage? No one. Tyler? Probably not. But it would be nice to have some 4-0 or 3-1 seasons headed into district occasionally 1

Didn’t a Maverick touch the ball before it went 10 yards?
BevBrownJr Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 The final score was 38-13 CHS. The Mavericks’ sophomore RBs are tough.

cowboyandchrist Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Very disappointed in the Dawgs second half. To many 15 yard penalties. Surratt was not happy.

SmoakyBandito Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 When this series started there was not many people that thought Carthage would be 4-0 outscoring Marshall 153-51. Hopefully can get the series back going at some point, but I agree with another post, it’s time for a break for now. 1
JBizzle Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I get wanting to put this series on hold, but who the heck is Carthage going to play? Heard the Cornerstone series may be coming to an end too!
