I watched his show on amazon and 2 episodes in I was convinced he needs to be the Cowboys coach to get them back to the promised land.  Dude's just got the X factor.  I'm sure there will be detractors but it won't sway me.

I can go with that. Fire McCoy! Wait what? The Cowboys scored 40? Jerrah and Coach Prime would be like oil & water.

I began wanting Coach Prime before the season even started.  This was months ago.  Sunday night's score not really relevant to me at this point.  I suspect most folks would be like oil and water with Jerrah.  Might be why they've wondered in the wilderness now for nearly 30 years?  Just maybe?  That egomaniac deserves all the blame.  Great owner,  total joke of a GM.

You want Sanders with a team that can pull players in.  The NFL is not that place.  He is a motivator, recruiter, teacher, disciplinarian...  None of those things matter in the NFL.

It may be the GEICO commercials getting to me, but I believe he is the next Bama coach after Saban retires.

Oh geez, I sure hope not, lol. He'll keep that program running without missing a beat!

I'm torn on the NFL part. With the way the NFL is today, I think the motivator, teacher aspect of him would help him succeed. It's the disciplinarian part that I agree with you. Players in the NFL don't like to be disciplined by the coach.

I would say one that definitely had a history of being a bit of a showboat and diva in the NFL.  No one can ever doubt his work effort though.  I love Deion.  He is great for football.  I am always baffled by the guys who are willing to jump from an amazing NCAA job to an NFL job.  The pay may be better, but its more work and in 90% of the cases you are looking for a new job in 3 years.  A college job where you can win 10 games a year is a job forever in most places.

College is also just more fun, in my opinion. And for the time being, you still have true, bitter rivalries in college football; although, I do believe NIL is starting to ruin some of that.

Yep. College is where it's at. For SO many reasons.

I'm just now kinda dipping my toes back into the NFL waters (haven't watched in about 11 years) but the college game is where it's at.

IMO a college head coaching gig is a 365 day a year job. During the season you are coaching. During the “off season” you are recruiting or dealing with boosters. Always something going on. A pro coach does not have to “recruit” nor deal with boosters. So, probably has more time on their hands during the course of the year.

Additionally, in reality how many coaches really win 10 games per year consistently? Probably not too many out of the 130+ D1 programs. So, a lot of college coaches are staying busy trying to maintain what they have or improve upon what they don’t have.

The amount of NFL head coaches is about a quarter of the amount of D1 head coaches. Think about how many of them are or have been retreads with less than stellar returns. There are several that simply move from poor HCs to coordinators. With that I can see opting for the NFL over college.

I have a coaching friend that related a story to me:

He knew a HC at an Ivy League school that was a position coach at a D1 SEC school. When asked why he left the big time D1 program to go to the relatively unknown at an Ivy school, he commented about all of the stress in recruiting. He related that many times he would be on a recruiting visit in an inner city and would have to hit the floor of the house because of gunfire. His mental and physical health trumped his desire to deal with the happenings in D1.

I listen sometimes to 105.3 The Fan in DFW and Brian Broaddus talks about the off-season in the NFL for coaches and scouts.  He says that they are basically watching film on college players up to 10-12 hours a day leading up to the combine, pro-days and the draft.  I think I would rather be recruiting top athletes in college who can change a game than that.

I want him with the Dallas Cowboys.  Will it ever happen?  Maybe/probably not.

Joel Klatt says Deion may or may not stay at CU but that he will never go to the NFL...because Deion see's coaching and the influence he can have on young men as his personal calling...his ministry.

Then there's this.  Yes,  he's said he prefers college gig and doesn't want to go pro.  I'm hoping he can be enticed into coaching the greatest football franchise ever.  Anyone and anything can be bought if the price is right. $$$🏆🏆🏆$$$

I've been a fan since he was a Dirty Bird. I did the straight-leg touchdown celebration on more than one schoolyard Pick-6.

While I admit to have raised an eyebrow at his radical player cuts this past year, like a lot of y'all I understood that a culture change was sorely needed at CU.

I've liked just about everything I've seen during his tenure with the Buffs, and I consider myself completely on the Colorado bandwagon. Shedeur Sanders is my dark horse Heisman pick, and I'll be rooting for nothing less than a Pac 12 title this season.

I agree with nearly everything you've said but the Heisman part. I think Travis Hunter (because of the crazy two-way stuff) has a chance, but I think Sanders stealing some of those votes may cost both.
