I have no first hand knowledge of how or why any of this happened but I would like to apologize on the behalf of the kids and the town of Gladewater if it did indeed go down the way some have suggested. I know it’s tough for them with little brother being the better football program in Gladewater. With that being said please take the easy on them. JerryJones Posted September 20 Share Posted September 20 Coach looking to put this game away before it even starts! Sucks for the kids to be involved. They have one tough non-district schedule if not the toughest in 3A. Playing against high ranked opponents, round 3+playoff teams (excluding SH) pretty much every week takes a toll on coaches and kids. Not to mention how young the Gladewater team looks to be. Yet still schedule Malakoff, MV, Daingerfield, Gunter.......he made the dad gum schedule....play it. I don't feel sorry for him. I do for the kids but this is all his fault. Losing to Spring Hill of all teams? That was definitely his damn fault. Folks can try to pin it on the kids all they want.....I've seen what kinda talent they got.....he may fool the GW townsfolk into believing it.....but he ain't pulling the wool over my eyes.
