The Rangers will play Game 2 of the series today at Tropicana Field starting at 2 pm Texas time.  Eovaldi will be the starter for the Rangers today......hopefully he will last longer than 3 innings today.  They really need a good showing out of Eovaldi today for at least 5 innings with lots of strikes and few walks.  The Rangers do have an excellent defense to get outs.

I think Bochy is in a position to go all out to win this game today.....IF the Rangers are tied or leading going into the 6th.  Unfortunately.....I will not be here to watch it today.  I just hope the Rays batters don't smoke Eovaldi early and chase him early.  The Rangers really need to score some runs early today and try to get the lead.  I think the bullpen is ready, but bringing in a reliever early if the Rangers bats don't wake up will be tough sledding, IMHO.

I'm pretty sure I will not be here today watching this game......I will be in Austin helping my son with the recent hailstorm that hit there last Sunday.  It is what it is.......I'm still the best and most experienced player in the field.....Lol.  But he's an equal partner now and does have a wealth of knowledge and 14 yrs. under his belt.  Like most Millennials.....he thinks he can shortcut the system in some way and still get the desired results......instead of the tried and true method of diligence, hard work, and perseverance.  Perhaps a combination of the two nowadays with the tools available via the internet.  But I'm one of the few Old Schoolers left in the business.......do not shortcut the steps to success.  But maybe I'm more wrong than he is right......so I give him plenty of latitude to operate the sales end.  He's a smart cookie and I am very proud of him.  I just wish I knew at his age what he knows......but that's the progression of knowledge available from the internet in today's world.

So far the Rangers "look" like they should be winning this game, but the hit balls have just not gone their way.  Or a good hit ends up with men left stranded and double play.  Or a line shot double-off.  And then just enough for the Rays to escape unscathed so far.
