Cardinals travel to Winny next week in what should be one of the best games in the entire state. Raiders coming off a great win against big rival MV while Potts come in off a big win over lowly Bonham. This one has been circled for a while on the calendar. We are 2 games into our difficult 4 game stretch and this one will be the 3rd. One at a time boys. Looking forward to it.

Its no secret what the Cardinals will come to town with and thats one of the best running backs in the state Major McBride. He is an incredibly talented player and will have to be our number 1 focus. While he is the main threat, Potts has solid receivers as well that will garner our attention too. We have had some good battles over the last 3 years and i expect nothing less in 6 days.

I will take Winny but McBride is just incredible to watch.  Much more elusive than he looks, good speed, makes yards after contact but he's also so smart.  He knows when to get out of bounds or when to just go down in order to not take extra hits.  Takes his time getting back to alignment for next play to conserve energy.  He's really a unique talent to me and a great competitor.

Potts does have some other weapons as well but I think Winnsboro's defense is a little better than Potts.  Should be a great game!

I'll say it. This is basically for the DC. I don't see any other teams beating either team after this game. Should be a good one.

This will probably be Winny's first game that they'll have to play all 4 qtrs. I don't know if that'll be a factor or not. If Winny doesn't make any mistakes, they should win. If they let Potts keep in the game, it'll be like last year's game. Potts is a second half team, imo.

Good luck to both teams this week.

He is a joy to watch. So smooth too. I dont believe he has had to play much if any defense thus far this year but i expect him to play both sides against us. His conditioning is incredible too so i dont think that will factor at all. He certainly will have some success hes just too good not to, it will be our ability to get him off his spot as much as possible.

Pottsboro wins straight up.  They don't need points this week.

Potts will need a series of mental mistakes from Winnsboro like they got last year to win.  But a year later that won’t happen.  Winnsboro gets the win in the “Game of the Week” in East Texas.

Winnsboro can take you apart through the air or by ground...whichever you try and take away they will exploit you elsewhere.  last year we didn't have a running game outside of Finney, this year we have 2-3 options in the backfield. the moment you creep up and play the run you've got 3-4 receiving threats coming at you....Pottsboro goes as Mcbride does, if Winnsboro limits the big plays from him it could be a long night for the red birds.  DUB TAHN keeps it rolling this week!

I know it is mentioned here that Winny will have to play all 4 quarters, well it has to be said the same for Potts.

Other than the Hooks game, has the Winny starters played all 4 qtrs? I know Potts has played all 4 qtrs in a few games not all of them. That's why the quote was made.

Same goes with us. At some point the boys will need to play the whole game to get ready for the playoffs, reguardless of score.
