I am not sure we have played this type of running game in a while. Should be interesting in the beginning until we adjust. Contain the QB and this game gets ugly.

I just can't see Porter staying too close, but it definitely does look like they play up or down to their competition. They're worthy of being tied for second in district play.

Definitely will have to stay discipline when it comes to their rushing attack.

Some of those passes that they were making last night vs BH and catching were just insane. Little bit of luck no doubt to get that win, but for us, just have to play Longview football and we'll be fine imo.

Porter's all-time playoff history...

2016 - Loss 42-6 vs PA Memorial
2017 - Loss 35-3 vs Nederland
2018 - Loss 37-30 vs Alvin Shadow Creek (SC went on to play for title in their first year)
2019 - Win 21-17 vs Fort Bend Hightower, Loss 45-6 vs Manor

Needless to say, this will be the furthest they've ever traveled in their history. Definitely going to be a new experience for all of their boys.

Just come out, settled down and ready to play Lobo football.

I don’t see it either…just can’t let them hang around. I am absolutely certain they have not seen a defense like ours.

Triple Option out of the pistol with minimum 6 blockers every play....I too can't remember the last time we've faced it.

Will probably take a little time for the defense to adjust but we'll be fine.

Where Porter is actually in big trouble is when Longview has the ball. Longview may have two 100 yard rushers Friday.

You guys say that in jest but the very few times Longview was upset in Bi District they were pretty dang good. I remember Beaumont but like I said very few.

Only has happened twice under King, which is insane to think about where we were prior to King taking over.

17-2 as head coach in bi-district. 2005 loss to South Garland, 14-13. 2016 loss to West Brook 34-33. Missed field goals to end both games.

Granted, neither game should have been a loss. West Brook game came down to fumbles and one of the worst defense we've had potentially ever at Longview (insane to think but stats back it up). South Garland, that horse has been beaten to death over and over. Loss never should've happened. But King has no doubt said that loss helped shape him and the rest of his career. Shame it came in that way obviously.

West Brook had the offense to beat us. South Garland had the defense that day to stifle us. Can Porter stand up, and find one or the other? I can't see them slowing down Tatum. Obviously would love to see Tutt connect on some passes early to get some confidence. Defensively, it'll take a series or two to get fully locked in I feel. But honestly I feel like their style of play plays right into our hands, maybe I'm wrong.

Main thing for me is Longview. If Longview comes playing like they did last week, boy. We'll have a game, or at least longer than we should have one. The penalties will continue to be a story all year long. How can Longview handle them? If Lobos come out and play Longview football, this should be another easy coast to victory.
