I agree Bay City is definitely a good team but not on the same level as Kilgore

Bay City is a good football team and are very capable of giving Kilgore all they want if the Black Cats play a great game. A good defense with an accurate passer with talented receivers is a good formula to beat anybody.

That said, if you made a list of all the things you wanted your football team to be strong at.... Kilgore would check all the boxes. If I were an opposing coach and I had to put a game plan together to beat Kilgore..... I wouldn't have any idea where to start.

Well The only way a team can give Kilgore fits is if our offense has another bad night like the Athens game and Kilgore couldn't score and they would have a turnover and the Kilgore offense put the Defense in terrible spots the entire first half and not to mention the defense was short handed coming into the game to begin with and Athens stayed right within striking distance coming into the second half.

I would start by looking closely at the videos of this season’s previous games, especially those in which the opponents had some success. Of course, my team might not have the weapons to successfully attack the areas revealed in such videos as weaknesses…but that’s a start.

If I was an offensive coordinator, I would make sure I looked at the Carthage, Gilmer, and Lindale games. On the other side of the ball, I would look closely at the Carthage,  Pine Tree, and Athens games.

I honestly can't remember the last time Kilgore was trailing in a football game. It might have been against Gilmer in week 2.

Yes, Kilgore trailed Gilmer for the majority of the game, if memory serves.  We were up 17-7 about midway through the 4th quarter, and 23-17 before that final drive with under 2 minutes by Kilgore.

Actually game was tied 7-7 all the way until 6 min left in the game... then Gilmer kicked a FG to go up 10-7....then Gilmer tacked on a td with like 4 min left to go up 17-7.... and thennnnnn all hell broke loose for the next 3 min or so

The score I saw was Needville up 28-14 coming to the end of the half.

Lumberton's QB sailed about every pass he threw for the 1st quarter and a half resulting in 2 INT's with 1 being a pick-6. Lumberton's defensive line is pretty good, but on perimeter runs there's really nothing to stop Needville's RB.

What was the deal just sloppy ball carrying?

3 Int's....one was was underthrown by couple yards that would been a Kilgore TD was picked at like the 5...one was overthrown bad and the last one was a scramble that he just tried to force down field...Kilgore also fumbled two Kickoffs that gave the ball to BC inside our 30yd line both times...both led to TD's....lucky to get out with a W...teams who turn it over 5 times don't usually win those games...🤷‍♂️..is what it is...learn and move on....Defense played well though...BC only had 207 yds total offense...
