If Carthage wins tonight and meets PG next week, they better pray it is not the same officiating crew they had last year agains PG. I always hate to complain about officiating but that was ridiculous. PG got away with multiple facemarks, late hits, PI - and not just one or two times but A LOT throughout the game. My buddy that went with me, about half way through the game told me, "I think PG could've brought weapons to this game and got away with it."  LOL.  At one point, a PG coach even shoved a Carthage player when he ran out of bounds. I saw it live and then went back and rewatched to be sure I actually saw it correctly. There were several incidences where the PG coaches acted inappropriately towards Carthage players. Lost a lot of respect for PG after that game. Respect to Carthage coaches for not coming unglued and getting a penalty themselves.

It should be an interesting game. A very stacked, experienced PG team vs. a very young Carthage team. Just hoping everyone makes it out safely with no injuries.

It’s not going to matter in the end what crew calls the game.

in a close game it absolutely matters, a call or no call can completely change the outcome of a game.  Last year if the game would have been close, all those no calls could have completely changed the outcome. When it's 4th down and the corner tackles the receiver before the ball gets there and instead of getting the proper PI the refs just ignore and turn over on downs - yeah it matters. and than happened several times last year.

still haven't been able to get the game up on stream, just a spinning while since the game started. NFHS is trash

Search for Carthage, then you should see two listings for the same game tonight.  Choose the second one.  It works.  I’m watching it.

That was a horrible no call PI at the end of the half there. Not a biggie in the context of this game but in a closer game, if that was the end of the game HUGE. That was exactly one of the things PG did the entire game last year against Carthage and never got called. I think penalties are going to be an issue for the Dawgs next week.

Coach was letting the refs have it too!

You do realize that the head coaches have to agree on the officials for each playoff game ?

yep, but it is a limited pool to choose from. I have worked with a guy for years that is from PG and friends with Gibson. He said he makes it a point to 'get to know' the officiating crews really well, whatever that means.

It could be a lot more than 35 to 0 by half time.

If the pass into the end zone on the last play of the 1st half had been completed (or the apparent pass interference by VA on it had been called) and the sure PIC6 hadn’t been dropped by the CHS DE, it would have been.

Great game Dawgs on both sides of the ball. The defense was as dominating as you could possibly imagine. One pick 6, and two more they were dropped. The D line and linebackers lived in the backfield. Secondary cover the receivers well and had came up with two INT’S. Van Alstyne gave a great effort and never quit. Congratulations to them on a good season.
The Dawg offense was was just as dominant, KJ Edwards is worth the price of a ticket to go watch, Jett Surratt was throwing the ball on the money and the receivers caught everything.
O line gave Surratt all night to pass and holes big enough to drive a truck through.
BUT I don’t know if the refs were flag happy or they felt sorry for VA or the Dawgs were guilty of all those penalties.
If the Dawgs were guilty they have to clean those penalties up. They cannot do that against PG. Those penalties cost them two maybe three touchdowns in the first half.
I believe coach Surratt, Preston, and staff will have the Dawgs well prepared for PG and hitting on all cylinders next Friday.
PG is as good as advertised and will be as good as Kilgore.
Let’s Go Dawgs 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 and hopefully 🏆

God Bless Coaches, Players, and Fans.
