Not a great example. That 20-7 score was early in the second quarter and lasted all of 10 seconds. Game was back and forth after that, with CH blowing an 11 point lead in the last few minutes.

How about this year? CH trailing Lindale and runs pass plays over 60% of the time in the second half. And against Kilgore, once Kilgore is up by two scores, CH again passes over 60% of the time.

Lindale and Kilgore both turned CH into a passing team. And CH lost both games.

Throw the ball to #8!!! NO ONE can guard him! Then open up the run game.

Dude....don't get me started! No cornerback in 4A can cover him one on one. Glad to see him get his touches the last 2 games. If he played for a team with a pass oriented offense.....he'd be a 4 star recruit. However, I think our run game has to open up the play action passing game more. But we both agree on the idea of getting the ball in #8 hands.

Even this late in the season, put Connor in to spread the field. #8, brisbon and others are outstanding catching the ball. Spread the field with talent.

brisbon just has a hard time throwing and it makes us to one dimensional. Put the ball in his hands in the open field and watch out!

Connor would be ideal but i wouldn't trust the decision making under pressure without the reps as Brisbon.

"You’ve gotta dance with them what brung ya"

TCH needs to establish the run with Brisbon and Stewart. If it can't do that, it doesn't matter who the QB is. TCH won't be able to pass against IC. IC has 94 TFLs, 37 sacks, 31 INTs, and 7 pick-6s on the season. TCH won't win if it can't establish a running game.

With Brisbon and Steward, TCH SHOULD be able to do that. After all, IC is an undersized team of freshmen, sophs, and juniors. Basically, IC is a JV team.

A REALLY good JV team.

lol this is hilarious. Tell me if you still think they are a JV team after Friday. CH has already been shut down twice this year and honestly IC has probably the best defense I’ve seen all year. Kilgore is a close second but Kilgore does give up some yards against the rushing game. IC shuts it down. I’m sure Stewart will break loose some, but it won’t be enough. I see IC winning this game convincingly

There is absolutely no way you just called IC a JV team… literally no way.

YES! Look at its roster - freshman QB, top three rushers are sophs and froshs, don’t have enough big uglies to field a full D line so they have a 3-man front with a soph and a 195lb DE, 3 LBs that would be nicklebacks anywhere else - so IC essentially runs a 3-8 D.
A power run team like TCH will steamroll right through that D.

Just don’t pass on them - they’re small, but they swarm like fire ants when you accidentally step on their mound.

Kilgore held Chapel Hill to 16 pts, and 7 of those were because we gifted them the ball on our own 1 yard line. If Iowa Colony can top that, then you could be right.

Lindale is a power run team and IC shut them down. You really are way too confident. That will change Friday

Don’t get me wrong, Kilgore has an elite defense and I absolutely believe if it’s Kilgore vs IC in the 4th round it will be a heck of a fight. I’m just going off how the two teams played Lindale. Lindale was able to move the ball better against Kilgore than against IC.

Iowa Colony is in a sweet spot south of Houston. 3 very large and relatively affluent suburban nighborhoods feed most of its student body. The neighborhoods are popular with current and former college, pro, and olympic athlete families. There's a lot of talent and understanding of how to train and develop before these kids even make it to Iowa Colony's brand new modern sports facilities.

I don’t doubt that for a second.

IC is 12-0 for good reason. They are a very good football team. That being said.....I like CH chances of moving the ball on the ground. IC gave up 355 rushing yards to Needville, 226 to Stafford, 250 to El Campo, and 210 to Navasota. CH will need to incorporate the playaction in order to keep them off balance. Of course, CH will need to keep penalties and turnovers to a minimum for any chance to win. It should be a good one to watch!

Its an interesting area. I moved my family down here nearly 6 years ago from Longview. IC doesnt have a population sign yet, but there's easiy 40k+ people now. Fron the stadium's upper deck, you see Meridiana's master planned community to the north, cattle fields to the south. It'll all be rooftops 15 years from now.

Hwy 288 is the most direct route into the Texas Medical Center. Beyond athlete families, theres alot of doctors and nurses. Also convenient neighborhoods for folks working in freeport for Dow, Olin, and BASF, etc. So engineers and plant operations folks. Anywhere from sugar land to Pasadena is a reasonable commute via beltway 8 on the south side.

TxDot is going to finish wrapping 99 grand pkwy around the south side of houston, and it will cross 288 just south of Iowa Colony.

If you ever go to surfside beach in the summer, you'll pass through.
