lol this is hilarious. Tell me if you still think they are a JV team after Friday. CH has already been shut down twice this year and honestly IC has probably the best defense I’ve seen all year. Kilgore is a close second but Kilgore does give up some yards against the rushing game. IC shuts it down. I’m sure Stewart will break loose some, but it won’t be enough. I see IC winning this game convincingly

No way IC defense D line and secondary better than Kilgore.
I will have see that to believe it.

Dear 9-4A brothers, TCH and Kilgore. Expect the IC nut huggers to come out in mass now. They’re undefeated and people wanna swing hard on those nuts as they’re the only undefeated team left in 4A-D1 and quickly becoming the media little darling. People gonna start pumping them up to be the U of Georgia. Just watch. Both TCH and Kilgore are more than capable of beating them. Just have to play smart clean football. They’re definitely beatable.

They’re not. Are they similar? Yes. IC defense actually reminds me a lot of Kilgore. Are they better? No.

No nut hugging here, I just truly don’t see CH beating them. Kilgore absolutely has a shot at taking them down but CH has too many bone headed mistakes and that will definitely cost them in this game. After seeing how both Lindale and Kilgore handled CH, I think they’re done this round. Of course I could be wrong and CH may win. It is high school football, anything can happen

TCH needs to establish the run with Brisbon and Stewart. If it can't do that, it doesn't matter who the QB is. TCH won't be able to pass against IC. IC has 94 TFLs, 37 sacks, 31 INTs, and 7 pick-6s on the season. TCH won't win if it can't establish a running game.

With Brisbon and Steward, TCH SHOULD be able to do that. After all, IC is an undersized team of freshmen, sophs, and juniors. Basically, IC is a JV team.

You sure they have 31 INT's in 12 games? That number doesn't seem realistic.

It's real. Something like 40%+ of their opponents INT total for the entire season have come against IC. Teams with 6 INTs all season, 3 were against IC. Lindale threw 4 INTs last week.

I understand completely. Here’s what I don’t know about TCH. are these last 2 games because they’ve found a defense or because they’ve play 2 much lesser opponents? LCM is not known for offensive production at all. In fact, they’re known to be pretty average at best offensively and very vanilla. And EC is just down this year & decimated by injuries. 10 starters out of the TCH game compared to start of season. Biggest being their TTech commitment QB. Can’t figure out which it is.

I'm really hoping it's our defense 😅

I lean toward it's a combination of both. The alarm would have sounded if you gave up 35 to LCM or EC, but you didn't. You did what was expected of you and held them to 7 for LCM and 18 with EC with 6 of those 18 coming in the 4th. So that's really good. You didn't screw around and let them score. I think TCH has found a little something defensively, but you will be tested both ways this week. IC is very solid and very well coached. The most impressive thing to me about IC was how they didn't panic AT ALL when down 14-0. Just came out, scored and kept about their business. It was all very business-like.

CH won't shut them down but I'm hoping for a couple of timely sacks and tackles for loss. We have 2 very fast outside linebackers that can wreak havoc in the backfield. We gotta go score for score with them otherwise. Should be a barn burner as long as CH doesn't self destruct! 🤞😅

Their offense is 100% centered on their QB. Their RB is an 8th grader and he is VERY shifty. Good RB. Shocking to think they may win a trophy with a freshman QB and an 8th grader at RB. ….. SMH

He's a sophomore. His bio says 8th grade but when you click on him it says sophomore class of 2026. I don't believe you can play high school football and still be in middle school. I haven't seen that rule but I don't know anyone who would allow a middle school kid to play high school football in the state of Texas. Especially being that small on varsity.

Legal if - The school that the 8th grader goes to is on the same campus as the high school.
Only have 4 years to compete on varsity, if an 8th grader plays varsity ball, his senior year he can not play.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Figured maybe because they don’t have a Sr class they were allowed. Good player though. Regardless.

Agree, it doesn't seem realistic. Especially when considering IC is a soph/junior team -- basically a JV team. But it is real. The 37 sacks number is off. It is actually over 40. Stats show zero sacks against El Campo. I know there was at least one.

Distance to next week's game:

2 hrs 54 min (CH) vs 54 mins (Iowa Colony)

iowa colony has to drive up I45 south of houston to north of houston...friday is one of the most traveled days of the year....one thing happen in traffic that day and that 1hr trip turns into 3hrs easy....every day theres accidents/dumb drivers traffic jams, i worked there for the last 2 Ch seasons

The RB - Tenner - is a soph. He was a backup early in the season and started getting more touches around the fifth game, after the starting two RBs went down with injuries.

Driving from Iowa Colony to The Woodlands can take more time than driving from IC to Hobby airport and flying to Dallas.
