The home side is plenty big. The away side is ok. But the traffic is awful. They don’t open that back gate to Lear Park anymore. One way in, one way out. There will be a parade of cars coming in through the second quarter.

I don’t think either side will be large enough if this game draws the crowd that it very well could. This is possibly the state championship game. You are right traffic is horrible. I would assume some from the 2nd game will be showing up when this one is over. Probably should’ve started this one at noon

they hosted Gilmer-Atlanta some years back and 30 mins before game time people were already parking at Lear Park. When the 1st qtr ended cars were still lined up to get in. Gilmer said they would never play there again and I don’t blame them

No where larger that would not be way out of the way for both teams

🌹 Stadium is not out of the way for both teams. Hwy 64 for y'all and Hwy 155 for Pleasant Grove.

The site for this game should be a place with a very large seating capacity. Worrying about which team drives farther shouldn’t matter. I suspect the PT stadium will be overloaded but alot of neutral fans like myself will stay home and not deal with the crowd and traffic

When we played le there first playoff game they had all entrances open I came thru Lear. Longviews ticket system blows why they will not do pre-sale I have no clue I went to beckville game and ticket line was all the way out to parking lot on home side we showed up 20 min early and didn't get in till halfway thru second qtr and there was not that many there maybe half the home side full if that

Here’s some advice if you’re going sit on the visitors side. Turn in at the light going into the campuses. It’s the light at Enterprise street. Park at one of the campuses and walk to the stadium. Should be a lot less hectic getting out. If it was me as soon as I turned in I’d park in that lot right in front of you as you start up the hill if you can.

That would of been a good option by out of the way I was talking bout Dallas area where most of the larger stadiums are I know how Gibson is and big stadiums he would prolly want to play in Odessa if that's where the latest greatest stadium is

Yeah I would think the gate to Lear Park would be open. That does help. Also I won’t be surprised if people have to park at Lear Park

Pine Tree is getting two really big games Fri.  They were willing to do what LISD and Lobo would not.  The stadium is big enough and if they put some extra effort in the way of opening all entrances, extra security, extra ticket help, and extra concession help, they might get another big game next week.

Pine Tree is reaping their rewards for building the new stadium. I don't know what the Lobos will or won't do but I'm sure Pine Tree is saying we can handle it. That's definitely 2 big games for the Pirates.

That sounds worse than the 3 people who works the concession side for the visitors.

I browsed through various social media platforms today and for the most part PG has totally dismissed Carthage and are guaranteeing a victory and claiming there is now way they can be beat. Many said that Gibson has done everything that needs to be done to guarantee that they will not lose, whatever that means.

The way Gibson completely disrespected Carthage this season not following through on their agreement to play junior high and sub varsity games was pretty sorry. Carthage took their sub varsity and jr high teams to PG last year, but this year Gibson refused to follow through on his end. And waited until the season was underway to drop that bomb where it was too late for Carthage coaches to find other games for their teams. That's a crap move.

I'm pulling for Carthage. Surratt always rises above the immature behavior of his peers and is a classy guy.

But realistically this game is a toss up in my opinion.

Not necessarily. Definitely still a lot of folks around here that don’t want PG to win….

The Texarkana transfer portal has not sat well many.

I can see why you guys would be upset with the Texarkana All Stars.

I have heard through the years about some of Gibsons dealings and saw a lot of disturbing things last year during games. And he's really done some things this year that have me scratching my head. I lost pretty much all respect for that program. It's a shame really, to loose all integrity in the quest for a win but some do lose their way.

I guess, it sounds like he has just snapped. And I will not repeat the rumor floating around about how the PG have 'beefed' up since last year. I think he's gotten away with so much in his career that he now thinks he's above it all.

you want a copy of the agreement they signed, send me your email address and I will try to get my hands on it. but it's very easy to prove, look back to schedules, Carthage carried through last year, where was PG this year? ask the coaches if they showed up when they say no, well there you go. this is 100% facts or may God strike me dead. I never say anything that was not from the most reliable source and then I follow through to make 100% sure.

literally go to all of them and search Carthage and read for yourself. I need to cleanse my brain of some of the things I read. I need a serious social media break.

I didn't realize til this week how much PG hates Carthage. I thought it was a friendly rivalry but for the PG peeps it is sheer hate and flat out disrespect. unreal

If a real Bulldawg and Hawk did the battle at midfield for 48 minutes I think you'd need like somekinda zamboni vacuum machine to cleanup a spifload of feathers. Just sayin
