If they are linemen, we have to wear them out running the ball. Skill players are a little harder to wear down. Sustained drives on offense will be the key. If Carthage can't sustain drives, the fact that they play both sides of the ball won't be a big deal. Agreed.
cowboyandchrist Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 16 minutes ago, HearEmaGrowlin said: Agreed. The PG QB will be making a lot of tackles and getting lit up when he runs the ball. The Dawgs will definitely be the most physical team that PG has faced all year. If the Dawgs don’t turn the ball over or have stupid 15 yard penalties they will win this game. 1
Sportsfanatic1 Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Wonder if this was ever a consideration? Remember Texas High and Highland Park playing there one tear. 1

I am afraid there will be plenty of penalties against Carthage. There have been every game this season, some earned a lot bogus. Last year against PG, PG got away with murder, obvious PI, facemarks, late hits out of bounds - text book obviously penalties that a toddler could have called. Carthage couldn't look at PG wrong without getting flagged. I expect the same tomorrow. Carthage will have to be absolutely perfect tomorrow in every phase of the game. PG has a lot of advantage on their side. A majority of PG fans are guaranteeing a victory and Gibson has said he has taken every necessary step to guarantee that PG will win. whatever the means.

U keep saying the same crap and not backing up any of it. Where do u see the MAJORITY of PG fans saying anything and how do you what the majority is. If anything, the majority are only saying we have a chance.

And by majority it is a majority of posts weighing in on the game. From what I have read Carthage has no chance and should stay home and binge on turkey Friday. Not sure why you are afraid to admit that PG coaches, players and fans have no respect for Carthage whatsoever. Edited November 23, 2023 by itsjustfootball
HearEmaGrowlin Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 I like Pleasant Grove and want them to win when they’re not playing Carthage. The year PG won state several of us Bulldog fans stayed after our championship game and watched PG win their title, and we were pulling for The Grove all the way. I don’t know much about Gibson other than he’s elevated that program above its traditional output much like Surratt & Co have done for Carthage. Two top tier programs going at it tomorrow! Go Dawgs!

I haven't been to Independence Stadium since David Smoak gave me tickets to see SMU beat Arkansas there when Danny Ford coached them in 1997. Even before that in the 80's it was a bad area even with Hirsch Memorial bringing in top talent for concerts.

I’m a Carthage fan, but this can be said both ways. PG D-Line is really good too, Not 100% about the O-Line but they got two guys in the backfield that can absolutely fly. The Dawgs will give up some big plays, it will depend if they can minimize them and play assignment football, especially the secondary. And lastly how well can the big guys up front (D-Line) get set back up when PG goes hurry up.
HearEmaGrowlin Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Has anyone come to a point where they are ready to publish their score prediction?
