What’s the difference in this years pg team vs last years team other than they are a year older?

PG had 4 relevant players out last year including leading rusher(did not return for senior year) and #5. 3/4 were two way starters.

Health, size, experience.. One of the defensive tackles returned back to PG.

PG's support comes from their Sophomore's.

so I guess carthage only won last year because vital key players were out? LOL Ok, same with Gilmer, if they lose there are always excuses. Well so and so didn't play that's why we lost.

IMO, if PG would have had these players in last year the result would have been the same.

If I remember correctly last year Carthage was without a couple of key starters too.

oh so the only reason carthage won last year was because the players were out? LOL C'mon man.

They could of all played and the outcome would have been the same. There are always excuses.

I think experience will show tomorrow. When you have the. most stacked 'experienced' team in all of 4A if not the state going against what is probably the youngest team in at least 4A, it may not show the whole game but it will rear it's head. I think PG will be too much.

Understand your opinion and it’s got some merit, no doubt.

We shall see, have a great night.

Just added up the opponents’ records for both teams and they’re pretty close.

Carthage seems to have played a slightly tougher schedule, but definitely with Kilgore at 11-1 as the best team either CHS or PG have played this year.

PG’s opponents’ combined record is 60-70.

Carthage opponents’ combined record is 68-62.

You stated previously you would not be responding to anymore of my comments but here we are again.

I was responding to the man's question.

I have NOT nor have I implied the outcome of the game would have been different yet you continue and twist and turn my words and others.

YOU are exactly the person people avoid at games because you won't SHUT UP.

Carthage was great last year and they are great this year. Injuries are unfortunate for any team at ANY level.

But the PG OL are all seniors and all played last year in this game correct?  Carthage DL all returned, as well as 1 LB.  The other LB is a Soph and did move up and play with the backups.  How is this year going to be different than last for the PG offense?

Jackson playing last year would NOT have mattered vs Carthage.  Let it go.

his brother never made a difference either when playing Carthage.

But I  seen these same excuses this from PG fans all over social media. Carthage only won because of the players PG was missing. LOL

The biggest difference is PG switched in the middle of the season, last year, from a wing t, under center offense, to a spread.

So it sounds like PG is only missing one starter tomorrow, correct?

it will be interesting to see, IF Carthage wins what will the excuses be from PG? The chips in the concession stand were stale, the sodas were flat, the bathrooms were low on toilet paper?

Evidently Gibson has guaranteed a win. I guess we shall see.

Landon Jackson was completely shut down by his now Arkansas teammate Crawford.  Tomorrow may be similar with Carthage #50 and Lance.

I watched PG vs Spring Hill & Carthage last year, and PG vs Spring Hill this year.  I know the change you speak of, but you didn’t answer my question.  How is the PG OL who could not block Carthage DL in 2022 and all returned, going to somehow block basically the same DL in 2023?

I will have to confirm but I am pretty sure Carthage lost more than that on the DL. There were several on defense that took their first varsity snaps this year.
