They’re talking about those Hawk athletes.

Someone said #1 and the QB for PG are both head and shoulders better athletes than anyone Carthage has.

I think that’s inaccurate when KJ Edwards is on our team. KJ fumbled a lot on Friday, which is unusual for him, but he still ran for well over 200 yards and was between he and #2 (QB) for PG as to who was the best player on the field.

PG’s #1, think their RB is a good player, but didn’t seem to have a huge impact on the game.

Jackson was pretty good, he’s just so big; he runs well.  Y’all see KJ slam Jackson’s face in the ground on one of his long runs?

QB for PG was the one athlete they finally had that could give them a chance to beat Carthage and they just didn't do it. PG had a lot of opportunities and only stayed in the game because Carthage kept them in the game with turnovers.  The penalties were a non factor until that last 4th down penalty or whatever it was with the snap count, other than that, it was pretty even, even for "no calls"

DL for Carthage was too much for PG, it always has been. Gibson changed the whole offense just for this and even in the spread, it still proved to be too much.  It is what it is.  Carthage will walk into the State Championship now.

I don’t recall PG ever attacking the middle of the field.  Aside from the 2 scramble/sling it deeps everything seemed to be a sprint out. Against Carthage, you’ll need to attack the whole field.  You can’t limit it to half the field.

The majority are women. I have never seen so much whining and crying. Take the loss and move on. It came down to coaching, depth, Carthage OL and DL, turnovers, and taking advantage of the opportunities. Carthage made the plays in the end and PG did not.

+1

I loved it when KJ slammed Jackson to the ground on that long run. Jackson got plunked bad and he knew it when he got up off the ground 😂😂😂

I’d like to see him get 15 carries.

You need to see KJ Edwards run the ball before determining Benny needs more carries.

Like someone said about all these D1 players PG has…..real D1 / P5 (as a sophomore) is what KJ plays like.  I understand you want Benny to get more of the load, but when you’re playing with a guy like Edwards you’re just not going to be the feature back.

I understand how it works. I just want everybody to see what it would look like if he got 20 carries. He has to learn what he is doing first though. I understand that.

They know what they have. If not he wouldn't have been in the game with the season on the line. And this is a kid that doesn't have as much experience as a lot of middle school backs that have played select ball.

His upside is more than most people realize.

Ah man I was afraid of that.  Did Surratt feel the same way about the officials as the PG faithful did?

He did say that first touchdown we scored that all the pg fans said ref threw a holding flag but picked it up was not for holding it was actually for hands to the face by pg
