I'm guessing 17 is what your thinking was the best? To bad carthage didn't start playing them until the following year would of been a good no offense but hard to watch game lol I'm not big on the t style offenses

After them years that is when all these guys moved in! I heard LE beat them in the lower grades so they won't have a team like this year. I just don't see them getting the transfers like they are now because DK is getting them for Texas High after a run in with Head Coach at PG.

My opinion 17 is because of the OL and DL play. People get hung up on a style of offense. All I care about is winning, not necessarily style points. I am good with a 2-1 baseball game involving small ball as long we we win.. I thought the wing t was exciting when it was executed properly. Plus, PG was throwing out of the wing t. I do realize that it has it limitations.

I think the 8th grade teams split and PG 7th won both. Again, you don't know who is going to come and go each year. Not convinced it is going to work out at T High like some of those guys think.

Just looking at the stats Carthage outgained PG by a healthy margin and PG was +1 in turnovers

Carthage was knocked out of the playoffs in 2007, 2011, 2012,2014,2015,2018,2021.  I can't recall a single time after those losses where Bulldog fans were blaming the refs.  SMH

There may have been some questions raised after those losses, but you are correct.  Especially not going on FB and saying the other team paid the refs and calling their coach bad names for doing nothing but winning.

The Soph class is nothing like this Sr. Class as Sophs.  All the hype in the world was put on this class.

If indeed Carthage moves to Region 3 the next 2 years, perhaps these two teams will resume playing non-district games against each other.  After last week’s game, it would be mighty interesting.

Yeah they say some horrible things about Surratt and the entire program and make outrageous accusations. Reality is Carthage got the short end of the stick on officials, played bad, had flu complications with some of the players, were down 14 in the 3rd quarter and still found a way to win.

well it's clear that PG thinks they should never be penalized and that every time they want a penalty against another team they should get it. They are by far the most entitled, sore losers I have ever seen, well except maybe Lampasas. At least there hasn't been a petition circulated, yet.

all i can say is the comments on facebook and tfnl have been pretty comical. i have a feeling there have been quite a few in this area that have loved every minute of this pity party since Friday.

A prime example is the PI they all wanted at the end of the game. Ball was completely uncatchable, and the kid was already out of bounds. By the time he got shoved. Textbook no call by the official. If you beg for that you don’t know Ball. They have been pretty ridiculous on Facebook. And I actively route for Pleasant Grove as well, but I am also not an idiot.

Correct. A better thrown ball that was in bounds and deemed catchable would have warranted a PI call.

I can say for one I am especially the ones that get on there complaining and someone actually starts talking football and rules of the game with them and then they show how ignorant they really are as far as that game and football in general

Would have and I'm 100% a carthage fan saying this prolly would not got the call from the fact of the many that should of been by on pg but they also didn't get the call of the pi no calls none really could have affected the game except 2 the first one on first drive carthage had that they turned it over on downs and the last one that u refer to

at that point in the game and with as much as the officials let go it would have had to of been big to get called.

I could not tell if he stepped out of bounds from where I was sitting. It was not a good pass in my opinion. Like poster Tex85 said, even if it was a good thrown ball, the call may not have been made at that point in the game.
