Stankylegg Posted November 25, 2023 Author Posted November 25, 2023 (edited) This marks 3 of the last 4 years that this district has put two teams in the regional final. D4 has done it 2 of the last 4. D7 & D13 have each done it once. D9 has had representation in the Semifinals all 4 of the last 4 years. Pending games this week. D4, D5, & D13 have the chance to do it 3 of the last 4 years. In 4A Division I, this is the unquestionable DOD and as I said at the beginning of this year, that title cannot correctly be given before the season. It has to be earned by representing your district well in the playoffs. D9 has consistently done that over the last 4 years. Edited November 25, 2023 by Stankylegg 3

CH is getting hot at the right time, but it would be ignorant to believe that Kilgore is not also getting hot. I would not compare Kilgore to IC. IC is fast. Kilgore is fast and physical, MUCH more physical than IC. 1
JugLine Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 CH’s defense is on point right now. They were on fire last night. I don’t know what to think about this game but CH’s defense could be the difference in this match. 2
Well, well,Welll Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 I am picking Red Dogs. I know the blue dogs were banged up. Health wise, how are they now? 1

Needville guy told us the same thing after the game..... said we were similar to IC speed-wise, but way more physical.

It just sounds like some of the Kilgore fans automatically think they will lose if they play at Stadium. At least that's the vibe I'm getting. After seeing how CH fans were fighting after the game and it carried over into the parking lot. I can understand why Kilgore doesn’t want to play in Tyler. It was a clown show and the parking and the traffic was terrible. 2

Let me make clear, just because there was a fight in the parking lot does not reflect chapel hill fans. It could have been anyone. We won the game so why would any chapel hill fan be fighting? 1

iRockNewbzz Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 So let me get the elephant in the room out of the way: if this was a complete beatdown the 1st time around in Kilgore's favor, what exactly will be done differently this time around to make it at least competitive? 1

Well for one CH is playing much better on defense. Plus it’s always hard to beat a good team twice. Not saying Kilgore won’t win but it will not be like week 10. I think CH has a few things up their sleeve as I’m sure Kilgore does as well. I look for it to be a 3 point game either way.

I was watching the game with one of my buddies from CH.

Well, we fubar'd 3 xtra points, fumbled the 2nd half kickoff, snapped it over our punter's head to give CHill the ball on our own 1 yd line.... our best D-lineman got knocked out early in the 2nd half and our next best D-lineman got ejected mid-way through the 2nd half. I think if we clean all of that up we should be fine. 1

We will see trust us Kilgore knows completely how the last two years went but we don't look back we look ahead. Kilgore is coming with vengeance I promise CH will have to beat Kilgore throwing the football too and good luck. The Kilgore D is on another level and y'all know it the only way Kilgore loses is if they beat themselves. 1

HJR7 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 I feel like Kilgore did a really good job of containing Brisbon and Stewart last game. I wouldn't stray to far off of that. I've watch CH playoff games and it hasn't been much change in their offense, unless they try to pass on the lock down secondary. 1

What does two people from CH fighting each other have to do with Kilgore and/or the location of the game? 1
