Texas High School Playoff Football is the KING of all sporting events for the fan to watch, and for all the teams that play this sport for a chance at Friday Night Glory.  Anything can happen in any game on any given night regardless of predictions or forecasts......we have witnessed it too many times thru the seasons.

Totally agree. And the one site for state championship games makes it extra special also. You can go and watch three state championship games at one location on one day. hopefully, the buckeyes will take care of business against Glen Rose and I will be able to do that this year!

1. Congrats to Gilmer on the win.

2. I am left to wonder how the death of Coach Preston’s brother impacted the defensive game plan of Carthage. His brother was the assistant AD at Texas High and they had a reunion between the the Carthage & T-High game. They are a close family.

Of all the times to watch the Gilmer broadcast I suppose last night would've been it!  They told us all along!

I like Carthage and really wanted to see them get the 10th ring  

I feel like we are witnessing history with them. East Texas will miss this Dynastic program when it finally dissolves. 
 

As for Gilmer — Them boys showed up and fought tooth and nail. Props to them for taking out Goliath. 
 

Now for Carthage to start that win streak back over next year. I want to see the 10th ring

Congratulations to Gilmer on a hard fought win. I never believed that anyone could beat Carthage by taking 3 pts when you are so close to getting 7 & this happened often last night. Props to Gilmer’s Head Coach and his staff for having the balls to execute this over & over again. Huge props to their kicker. What a game he had. Absolutely clutch. 
 

Congratulations to Carthage too for just being who you are every year in the Surratt era.
