Dodds had 40  carries for 228 yds last night. He was basically there entire offense. He won't be able to do that with Daingerfield.

A month ago I would have thought the same thing. I watched Gunter/Jacksboro first half and was surprised to see Jacksboro go toe to toe with Gunter. I think Canadian may be too much for Gunter. I really think Harmony woke up Dangerfield the last district game. They have as many if not more athletes than Gunter or Canadian. I truly believe DF will get to the ship. They are good enough to win, the only reason they would get beat by any team left in 3A D2 is if they get in their own way. Which a month ago I would have said that is possible. I think now they are on a mission, don't let me down DF. I'm not a DF fan just a Friday Night Football fan.

Gunter and Daingerfield played two other games in pre-distric for one and playoffs for the other one. I beleave Gunter won by about 3-4 scores on one and 2 scores on the other.  No bullying in there.

DF had great atheletes and were one of the best teams we played all 3 times.  If it comes down to Gunter vs DF trust me we have huge respect for DF.

There is this matter of Gunter vs Canadian that happens first though.  These are usually awesome games and I get butterflies just thinking about it.  I hope we get to AT&T -DF or Tidehaven we'll take it.  Canadian is a huge obstacle.

It's the 4th round of the playoffs, there ain't any scrubs left. Everyone knew Jacksboro was gunna give them a game but they still won the region by 22 points (by 24 last season). I actually think Canadian beats GT this year, their QB is a stud and actually have the defense to give Gunter fits. You said it best, "if they get in their own", & DF does it better than anyone else. We ALL know Gunter & Canadian aren't going to make those mistakes & they have the recent pedigree & success. They roll any of the 4 teams that comes out of Region 3/4.

Watching some Tidehaven games on NFHS, they have some talent. The RB is pretty good…good size and speed. They seemed to be pretty methodical on offense but susceptible to big plays on defense…not a lot of back end speed.

It is easy to see that DF is a lot more talented across the board. I know they aren’t counting them out but DF should roll.

Not well for Gunter if they make it the SC game. Gunter got to get past Canadian first. If they do that probably their last win. Dec 14th belongs to Dangerfield. Mark this comment in your notes

I do too. I have been trying to find stats on Gunters scoring by quarter. Can’t find any,, my less than amateur assessment on the Tigers is they beat teams by sheer numbers, and talent they have 56 on their roster. From my best count Gunter has enough quality players to field three separate units; offense, defense, and special teams without many;  if any, players going both ways. They can substitute at Will without an appreciable loss of talent. In the playoffs I wanted to see their scoring by quarter. If my assessment is correct they wear teams down by the fourth quarter and score most of their points then. I’m not interested in the regular season, since they scored at will against those inferior teams.
