It's the 4th round of the playoffs, there ain't any scrubs left. Everyone knew Jacksboro was gunna give them a game but they still won the region by 22 points (by 24 last season). I actually think Canadian beats GT this year, their QB is a stud and actually have the defense to give Gunter fits. You said it best, "if they get in their own", & DF does it better than anyone else. We ALL know Gunter & Canadian aren't going to make those mistakes & they have the recent pedigree & success. They roll any of the 4 teams that comes out of Region 3/4.

I would just sthu just talking to talking, when the game happens how about you meet me at the stadium, I would love to run into the idiot behind this account

At this point of the game, Don't underestimate anyone. Tidehaven don't have 8 shutouts without having a stought Defense. As long as our Blue Tigers go in playing like they did against those BB playing purple yard birds, it'll be 35-14 Daingerfield.    Jerry World here we come.

I haven't looked into each quarter specifically yet, but I did look at first half scoring, but over the last 9 games (prior to and including last week's game - in other words, it didn't include Jacksboro, but the 9 prior to that.  At that point, they were averaging a little over 60 a game I think.  The average halftime score in those 9 games was 47-0.  So most is scored in the first half.  Jacksboro scored 27 in the first half which is the first time a team had scored on Gunter in the first half in 9 games.  They have an impressive offense.  Feizel is great at halftime adjustments.  They managed 6 the rest of the way.  It was a ballgame most of the way.  34-27 at half.  55-33 final.  Probably the first 4-quarter game the starters have played all year.  Certainly since district started.  I'll see if I can find somewhere to break it down by quarter.  The place I would normally use doesn't have all the games.  I'll see what I can find.  But for the most part, the majority of their points are in the first half and the majority of their opponents points are in the second half after subs have come in.  Subs didn't come in against Jacksboro that I noticed.  It was a ballgame most of the way.  I didn't feel comfortable until there was under 3 or 4 minutes left.

From what I'm reading here it sounds like D'field folks have already beaten Tidehaven! It's bad juju to count your eggs before they hatch. Just sayin'...  🙈🙉🙊

Who has said they guarantee a win? If anything, it's actually the opposite. Film don't like, humans do (And really only playmaker they have is the kid who had 40 carries)

Everything I watch on Tidehaven gives me vibes of Hooks and every other team we have played that runs the ball well against lesser teams.  When you get ahead they start trying to throw and that's exactly what we want to happen. They aren't fast enough to get outside so they will hammer us up the middle for minimal yardage hoping they eventually will break a big one. I just don't see this game being close. 54-14.

Thanks for the response Pax. You raised a good point that I failed to consider in my thought process. I didn’t consider substitutes in the second half. However, I did suspect that the subs would be about as good as the starters, and fresh legs would be the difference.

I could be wrong but this Dodds kid reminds me of the Pendergrass kid from Mineola; Bigger bodied-hard runner with elusive quickness and their true workhorse. The unsung heroes of the postseason has to be the play of our DL, and if they continue to do their job Thursday night, that sets our D up well for our LB's to fly around and make plays in the run game!

Lawd have mercy, Dfield has a 2hr longer drive than Tidehaven!

I'm showing its about an hour and a half longer for Daingerfield..but thats variable depending on Houston traffic for Tidehaven...problem is you go further north there's not many good places to play
