Well Gilmer does GR have a dual threat QB?

Yes, their quarterback is a dual threat.  He can beat you with his feet and his arm, though he throws it around more than he runs.  Their offense looks quite a bit like ours.  Their defense is not too shabby, either.  We will have our hands full.  It's really hard to gauge just how good a team is when they don't play teams outside their region.  I'm pretty sure they haven't seen speed like they will when we face them, but sometimes speed can be nullified to a certain extent.

I am confident that we can win, but we better play our best, and not have any kind of letdown after the Carthage win.

Pretty important to note GR is back in this game for the 2nd year in a row.  While they lost a bunch of Sr’s off last year’s team, the younger one’s got to see the environment around the big game and won’t be google eyed going in.  Solid coaching staff as well.  I expect a competitive game with a similar score to the Gilmer/Carthage game.  Pulling for the Bucs!

I’m sure if Grandview can get the job done we will be able to as well

Never go off past games. I can assure you Glen Rose has improved just like Gilmer. I think this game will be a high scoring game. I have no idea who wins but I am pulling for Gilmer.
Stay focused, no turnovers and play them like you did my Dawgs.

I agree with this. Just like Gilmer, Glen Rose deserves to be in this game. They don’t run a lot, but they can sling it! Buckeye secondary will have their hands full for sure. Look for Gilmer’s RB Henderson to have a huge game offensively.

If we went off past games, Carthage should have beaten Gilmer soundly considering they lost to PG by a large margin.  But, as was noted this past week, we never know what might happen or happened during the game.  They could have lost their starting QB early in the 2nd qtr and played a backup.

I feel that the big challenge this week for the Gilmer coaching staff is to keep their boys FOCUSED!  Coming off that big win makes it easy to have a letdown game.  Play smart football and bring that same energy and Gilmer should be just fine this week.

I mean we not gonna compare our loss to PG to losing to a 3a grandview. Now yes I know they have improved and has made it to the 4th round so can’t be taken lightly. I just think we are battled tested and will be ready for anything they throw at us, now can they say the same?

Speed wise, no.  Glen Rose hasn't seen the kind of speed Gilmer has.  I don't think any team has, but the Tigers play fundamentally sound football, and are extra good with the x's and o's by their coaching staff.  The Buckeyes CANNOT afford any kind of a letdown because Glen Rose will definitely take advantage.  Glen Rose reminds me a little like Sunnyvale and Aubrey.  We struggled against those teams, but had just enough fire to get the job done.  The Buckeyes need to set the tone early, or it could be a struggle.  If Gilmer plays lights out, they win going away.  Otherwise, it will be a struggle throughout.

Go Buckeyes!

I think you see the Buckeyes play well this week, secondary will get tested, but they were up to the task last week with some help from the Carthage receivers, they dropped a few to be fair to them, I think its close till the half and Gilmer pulling away in the second, looking for a big night from Mr. Henderson, Gilmer by 14, good luck to Glen Rose!

If Gilmer coaches don’t play the same guys in the secondary that they did against Carthage I will be shocked!
