the biggest up the rear end went to FSU......they deserve over the entire year to be there. But hey, lets make sure the SEC is in there. Like one of those idiots from ESPN said.....did the committee look at the history and say that Alabama or the SEC needed to be in the playoff based on history. And Joey Galloway, saying they "don't base their decision on the games they want to see"....that is the second biggest LIE of the day, because ESPN and FOX have been pushing this scenario for a week now.......The NCAA needs to be disbanded.

Ultimately they got it right . FSU wasn’t really top four team despite the record. The committee chairman said  the injury to Jordan Travis played a huge role in them being out. One guy on ESPN asked a good question. He asked on a neutral field with FSU and Bama as they sit right now, could FSU beat Bama? Answer is there.

I said this on the other thread.  It will be 1-2 point win in either direction imo

Of the other three teams, Washington is the worse matchup for Texas IMO due to the passing attack and the Texas secondary having moments of lapse (has been looking better of late).  This was a 7 point win for UW last year in the Alamo Bowl with Texas having several opt outs.  I think Sark will put together a great game plan offensively with a month to prepare.

Washington is a tough matchup for Texas. Texas will need to approach this game the way they did Alabama, TT, and Ok State, especially defensively.

Hit them fast with big plays and hit them in the mouth on defense

Good thing we have Penix Jr. on tape from last years bowl game.

Revenge tour is not quite done.

1.  A healthy QB and FSU is in.....no question.  But player availability MATTERS.  FSU's offense was abysmal last night.  It MATTERS.  Are the KC Chiefs still a Super Bowl team without Mahomes?  Eagles without Hurt?  Why do some think FSU is somehow immune to the same fate when the gas that makes their car go is out?  I hate it..... and if we had a TRUE playoff system in place it would be irrelevant.  But every single AD, president, and coach in a P5  has NOTHING to gripe about...this is the system they chose unanimously.  Sit down and shut up.  Should have had a 12-16 team playoff in place 30 years ago.

2.  The committee should have dropped FSU from the top 4 immediately after the injury.  Keeping them the additional weeks was ridiculous to begin with.  If they had been dropped weeks ago....last night's lackadaisical showing by FSU would have been expected and being left out even more so justified.  Stringing this out is the real reason FSU is ticked.  Never should have been there after the injury.

3.  I'm no fan of Ohio State....but I find it interesting that they weren't even a part of the conversation.... literally NO ONE talked about them.  If that's the case... then why were they #5 to begin with.  Clearly they weren't valued enough to be considered moving up....therefore doesn't that mean they were overrated?  Otherwise SOMEONE would have been talking about them sliding into the top 4.  Didn't hear it once all day yesterday.

4.  Every single one of these teams is beatable.  None of them are perfect in all phases of the game.  All of them are vulnerable in some way or another.   Any combination of them could end up in the championship and no one should be shocked.

They were good enough to win 2 games vs winning teams without their starting QB and the conference without their top 2 QBs.  Get out of here with this bs.

Thankfully the NFL doesn't have a group of people giving opinions on who should make the postseason, and actually make them win it on the field.

By the way, we've seen NFL teams win the Super Bowl with a backup QB.

I saw an abysmal offense struggle to beat Louisville.  Nothing about last night's game told me FSU would beat any of the teams ahead of them in the final standings.

Availability matters.  It's literally in their bylaws.
