That is what happened this year. All the other colleges are left out because they don't belong to the super 2 conferences. If the NCAA had any nads, they'd break up these conferences.....but they'd lose their under the table money......

Saban doesn't want to play his way through a 16 team bracket  .... he's afraid he might get embarrassed by a BYU or Oregon St ....

Who exactly did Florida State play that was so good? No one in their conference is currently ranked higher than 15th. They beat the 5th and 8th place teams from the SEC. That’s not a lot to be impressed about. The committee got it right.

They played a helluva lot tougher schedule than Michigan or Ohio St and Alabama minus the Texas thrashing ....

That is total bull :poop: and you know it.....the SEC did not deserve a team in the playoffs this year, because their best team after the championships was a team that got beat during the year. All the talking heads, all the stations started discussing this last week to influence the committee and make sure they placed an SEC team in the playoffs.

Some call it a conspiracy theory, but it is total blatant biased towards the SEC........The idiot from N. Carolina even admitted it, they looked at the player situation, and then when asked about Michigan not having their coach for 6 games for breaking rules.....he said their players came together and won those games.....Didn't FSU do the same exact thing. No matter what people want to say, the "beauty pageant" should be about the entire season, not just about the great 3 point win someone had at the end of the year. Wow Alabama won their last 2 games by 3 points, including a lucky play that keep them at 1 loss.......Alabama and the SEC deserved to be shut out of this thing, but it was about money, it was about status, and the SEC wins with both those areas against the NCAA, who are scared :poop:less of Alabama feelings getting hurt.

FSU should boycott the Orange Bowl, they ACC should boycott the Bowl Games. But saying that the NCAA committee isn't biased towards Alabama and the SEC, that is a complete lack of reality.SMH.

I agree 💯  ....

You don’t even know who they played. The top team on their schedule is currently ranked #13. Alabama has beaten that team, as well as two more that are ranked higher. Come on Kirt. If you’re gonna hate on my team, at least be informed about them.

Based on the committee’s logic, they are trying to tell you that Liberty is better than LSU and FSU is better than Georgia.

Record matters except in rank 1-4?  The CFB playoff committee is corrupt

I saw them comparing strengths of schedule on the college pre game show ... they were all in agreement Florida St had played a tougher schedule than everyone except Texas ....

And they are wrong, per their network’s own rankings. They just need something to talk about , so they pull some meaningless numbers out of their butts and throw it against the wall to see if it sticks. IF you even know who Florida State played, look at the rankings and see who is ranked where. It’s not difficult. I’m confident that you can do it, and maybe even without having to drive to Colmesneil to get help.

The number 12 ranking will always go to the highest ranked non power 5 school. So they are not saying Liberty is better but yes if we were doing a 12 team playoff this year Oklahoma and LSU would be the first 2 out at #13 and #14 in the rankings. That means all power 5 schools have 11 spots and only 1 non-power 5 gets in every year.

If we want the best 12 schools, they should use the same criteria that they used to screw Florida State.

Sec teams that are typically overrated because the pad their win column with cupcakes and play each other.  The sec is once again 3 teams strong, 2 in the west and one in the east.  Bama struggled with several teams along the way.  This was a class favorite selection committee, plain and simple.  These folks didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to do the right thing.  The quicker we get away from a class favorite committee the better it’ll be.

I was actually shocked on how much better Alabama's SOS was than Georgia's.  I guess beating and playing LSU and Ole Miss helps.

Let's be real.  Strength of Schedule doesn't matter in the Rankings or Michigan would not be #1.  Outside of Ohio State, their schedule was absolute dog crap.

Ohio state Qb is in the transport portal despite leading them to a 11-1 record. Ain't nobody safe if that happening lol. Complete surprise if you got the $$$ you can buy this guy. I don’t really like the portal but seems their needs some guidelines or something.

So take them out of the top4.  That’s the very reason Florida St was kept out in favor of SEC.  That’s being real.  Florida State and Michigan are exactly the same.  It’s a class favorite selection committee

That may very well be the stupidest thing ever posted on the internet.

Saban fussed about the HUNH offenses.  He even told the ncaa they were a safety hazard.  Now he runs one.  Evidently he doesn’t care about the safety of players or he was whining to help benefit his cause.  Do you honestly think Saban will be for a bigger playoff?  No, he won’t.  Because it doesn’t help his cause.
