I'm pretty sure that area is called the Golden Triangle,  but it's definitely more Louisiana that Houston.

Oh goodness,  I didn't think that it was hard to understand that PN-G was technically East Texas. Last I looked no school in Louisiana is part of the Texas UIL system. Therefore PN-G would not be Louisiana. Nor are they greater Houston. Yes they are part of the Golden Triangle as is other schools that are also technically in East Texas. SMH

People should understand the area PNG is located in is called the Golden Triangle. I don't understand why people don't understand the Golden Triangle is still located in the Eastern part of Texas.

Well golly gee, this is not an east Texas conversation,  this is a BeastTexas conversation and SETX or the Golden Triangle is NEVER included in that group. BeastTexas usually stops about Lufkin.

But yall keep doing yall. Most of us understand geography.  Yes, PN-G is DEFINITELY in the eastern portion of the State of Texas and not in Louisiana.

I guess it depends on your definition of BeastTexas. Now if you had said NETexas I would agree with you but there are some good football teams with great football history south of Lufkin. That being said I'm pretty sure no one involved with PN-G cares about being considered "BeastTexas". Personally I'm cheering for

Gilmer, Timpson, Chapel Hill, Malakoff and Port Neches-Groves.

What other teams do you consider "BeastTexas" that are still in the playoffs that I'm not cheering for?

SE Texas + NE Texas = East Texas, unless my math is wrong.

However, when most(?) of us visualize East Texas, what we really "see", in our own little world, is NE Texas.

Go ask folks in PN-G or maybe even Lufkin and the geography would probably be flipped and they would claim to be the "real" East Texas and us pretenders are really from NE Texas.

Actually,  no they don't think that.  They have more of an appreciation of all teams and definitely know geography.
