I haven't missed my mark on nothing.  Have you ever heard of a school opting down in the state of Texas? No you have not. The uil has never let a school opt down because of travel or anything else.  That goes without saying.

Hico reported 182.  Cutoff is 181.4.  Hico will move up to Div 1.  Likely the smallest school in that division.

Goldthwaite dropped down to Div 2.  So San Saba vs Goldthwaite Rivalry will now be a non-district game.

someone did a mock of realignment and just look at 4A-D2 district 8 , obviously the UIL will most likely not let this happen but what a district. 8 beats 7 4-0 first round of playoffs
