I hadn't thought of grouping Pecos with the El Paso schools.  It's 3 hours away from El Paso, but Pecos is not close to anything except Andrews.  There are 9 El Paso area schools and I debated whether to make them one district or two, so adding Pecos makes it easier to have two districts.  You really have to start with El Paso when doing a mock because what happens out there really affects how the rest of the state shakes out.  It's such a domino effect.

4A Mock Credit to Texas HS Sports

District 7 is very competitive compared  to each other. District 8 is just nasty and will be tested in D2.

D1. 9 is tougher replacing Jacksonville with a Pine Tree.

Some hard hitters in Division 1. Interesting seeing what Brock can do and Vega / China Spring.

China Spring and Vega have been contenders, Ive always thought Vega does best in 4A2. Eagle Mountain will be interesting coming out as a 1st year school in Saginaw area.

Desoto opting up? i haven't seen that.. interesting. You would think they have proven themselves.  That way south Dallas could have 5A-D2, 5A-D1 and 6A champs.

DeSoto (2127) is that good with half as many kids as Duncanville (4710) ...wow.

8 is probable but man Bruceville cant catch a break and end up in a easier district even if it meant a little more travel. They need something there to boost the moral to bring more kids into the program, get great youth participation but drops drastically by the time it reaches varsity level.

Kids that don’t go the Duncanville find their way to DeSoto and other schools in the area.

For the longest Rider and Old High were neck an neck on enrollment, Ponder came to Rider in 03 and found some success and kids just steadily picked over Old High and then Hirschi started winning some and Old High ended up neglected but they did have some great runs well previous to either of the other 2 having any. The new seemed to wore off on DeSoto dropping so many kids in 2 years even with winning culture going on over there.

I would like to say the same thing is happening in Tyler, but that isn’t the case. TISD is out right taken kids out of one school and putting them in the other, by redrawing the lines. They still can’t seem to win games with doing that.

True and Allen is desoto plus Duncanville put togther size wize and hasnt been able to win as much lately. Maybe with that many its impossible to develop properly. Or if your not getting statting reps going down the road to Melissa/Anna/proaper/lovejoy  and why they are getting better. We will see in the next coming years.
