scare all other 5A D1 programs' maybe besides Aledo into dreading today.. lol.. just crazy.

I do know that a lot of schools were happy that they stayed in 6a. They did this the last time they had to go to ET.

Me too, and I don't understand why they don't send Beckville south.

District 10 has eight teams, including Beckville

District 11 has six teams ....

Strange ......

It would have made more sense putting Beckville in District 11 and having 10 and 11 with 7 teams each .....

i get it mathis wasn't a good fit but the hatred towards this man is kinda sad. It's not like yall lost with him at the helm.

That’s because you don’t know the shenanigans he pulled after he left.

The garbage he pulled to undermine his successor.  The pettiness of some of it.  The downright hateful on some of it.

The poison he purposely placed in some players ears , some parents hearts, and some boosters after he was gone was well known. Particularly for the 2019 season.

All those antics make his W/L record irrelevant.

If they can avoid as many odd-team districts they will so there is no rolling bye and everyone is on equal footing

I need an ESPN 30 for 30 on this one.

Sounds like this would make for good viewing.

You missed him during the Richters period.  But richters was a good guy, just not a great coach for those 2 seasons

Y'all have fun with that district.  Even tho we got some driving ahead of us, I like how our draw turned out.

Yall got a nice draw! We’ve been in that district a few times before less Mildred and Frankston. Always enjoyed it because we could go through Palestine every week and eat at Little Mexico! 😂

In Central Texas:

There are a ton of 2A DIv 1 teams.  SO I don't have a clue what will happen.

Bosqueville, Bruceville-Eddy, Moody. Marlin, Crawford, Rosebud-Lott, Riesel, and Valley Mills. Axtell

Plus teams close enough to be put into Waco area districts :  Italy, Itasca, Hamilton Hico and Rio Vista.

Outcome for Central Texas 2A Div. 1

Dist.7  :  Axtell . Bosqueville, Dawson, Italy, Itasca. Rio Vista, Valley Mills

Dist 13 :  Bruceville-Eddy , Crawford, Marlin,  Moody, Riesel. Rosebud-Lott

The 2 wild-card teams were in Hamilton & Hico were pushed out West along with Deleon, Bangs. Coleman, and Ballinger.

In Central Texas with Dawson and Hico leaving going to Division 1.  That opens the door for Chilton and Bremond moving back into Region 3 .  They would likely be in same district as Mart.

I could see that, Chilton was between D10 and D12 for a number of years before going back to R4

Yep Chilton and Bremond replaced Dawson and Hico in District 10.  I never thought Goldthwaite ( 20- miles south of Brownwood.   would be put in this district.  Now an 9 team district

I don’t usually see anyone from those schools on Smoaky. Gonna be kind of weird being in Region 2. Playoffs will be lots of new faces. Might have one of those Chapel Hill/Henderson or Carthage/Gilmer championships if y’all should be so fortunate to make it that far. One year you’re in the same district, the next you wouldn’t play until the state championship! 😂

I never disliked Richters.  He was a great guy.

His staff….and his decision making…. Yikes.

I feel sorry for Palmer. They have a lot of drive time

Obviously the UIL doesn’t care. Teague and Fairfield have 2 hour drives to Diboll and Huntington. Groebeck and Mexia are about 20-30 minutes from us and they sent them west. 🤷‍♂️

We are in the same boat. Besides Eustace the shortest drive we got is Rains a little over an hour. Then the rest are 1.5 hours plus. MV being over 2 hours. Non district, 1.5 plus for each team but I like it this go around. Getting back to playing 4A teams again.

Well here we go again. Some have gone, some are still here and others have appeared. Wow, the anticipation has almost been to much for an old soul, but here we are with another season starting. And imagine this it's raining, but thank goodness we're on turf for the first scrimmage. Man what the last five seasons has brought for My Boys of  Summer. Can't wait to see what's in store for these young men this season. Loads of talent with these guys, we as coaches just need to do our job putting the puzzle together again and leave the rest up to these young men and the Baseball God's. Looks like another exciting year for Bulldog fans for sure. Good Luck to everyone hopefully we'll all get that first scrimmage in. I love me some baseball !!! God Bless and safe travels.
