KirtFalcon
Garrison has a ton of young talent to go along with some seasoned players ... I've heard someone say the coach seems to think the most talented team we have ever had .... just need to get some games under their belts .... I'm excited for the season to start and see where it leads ....

jacket52
Elysian Fields has 10 starters returning this baseball season and for the first time in 2 seasons they have seniors on this team. They dealt with Tragedy last season had to cancel 6-8 games and didn’t start season till district play and still almost made the playoffs. Led by 10 upperclassman and some talented sophomores. This team is capable of really making some noise this season if they can stay healthy. Looking forward to Games against 5A Marshall, 2A state champ Harleton, 4A #16 Carthage in the first 2 weeks of the season. GATA!!!! FEAR THE SWARM!!!! Only benefit is that it keeps kids engaged during the summer and can build confidence for some programs.

I think kids need to get away from football for awhile — play underwater polo, ride bulls in a rodeo, or go on a youth mission trip to help other kids. Life is not all about football, and I love the game.

If the town lost the school, it seems there would be nothing left, so it makes sense to stay open if the town wants to not become a ghost town.

False it gives colleges a good look at kids who don't run modern passing offenses to see how they would look at the next level. While I agree a coach needs to run the offenses that benefits his program, there are still individual athletes that get hurt in a recruiting process due to certain types of offenses. LOL, flag football as an indicator of how players will look in college.

LOL. Crazy that them college recruiters go to them 7v7 tourneys all the time just mind blowing right and most of the ones picked up from schools that don't run modern offenses get offered from 7v7. Keep that mindset an fail the kids you influence.

I know all that, seeing if there was a more specific date, like the next 2 weeks, or month etc. Just curious how amebic the districts will be. ( it always confuses me when track and baseball, softball are different and then those being different than basketball when all the schools have those sports)
