How's that even possible lol?

Good thing is that the best player in the state scored a TD from the DL. Bellville is bringing the top defense and the top offense in the state to the Championship game. Gilmer is bringing the second highest scoring offense and the ....well, you know the defense (if you want to call it that).

Excellent observation. Gilmer defense has definitely "taken it to another level", only given up 37 points per game in the playoffs.

It's hard to explain 🤣🤣

Considering Bellville didn’t play one team above .500 til the post season we’ll talk post season playoffs where Bellville averages 43 ppl to Gilmer’s 54 ppg. No doubt Bellville defense is solid…. But let’s not forget the weak schedule contributes to the defensive stats as well.

Yep, #2 Silsbee was saying the same thing. Bellville playing Gilmer next.

Are you going to show us which website you’re looking at that ranks him the #1 rated HS player in Texas?

So it is not a factual statement about him being the #1 rated player in Texas? Just your opinion... I gotcha.

FYI, player ranking websites are “opinion” also. That is why they are all different.

Max preps doesn't even have him listed in the top 3 on the team for tackles?

Understood, most DL do not lead teams in tackles. It will always be LBs and S that lead teams in tackles.

Nick Saban has him ranked high.

Since Nick Saban has him ranked high does that automatically make him the #1 HS Football Player in Texas?

No, all rankings are solely based on “opinion”.

It won’t be 10 degrees and windy in Jerry World.

You can say that again.  Most miserable I think I’ve ever been at a football game.  There was no way to stop the wind from cutting through everything you were wearing.

This game and the earlier game against Mabank when it was coming an absolute downpour. Those were fun.

I don't think it is "unusual" for a team with the winning pedigree of a Gilmer to be peaking with their youngish squad at this time of the year.  They already had some very good pieces in place when the Preseason Ratings were released.  They played a very competitive schedule, took some losses early, continued to improve, and now they are playing their best football of the season.  Those late scores by Glen Rose last week happened with the game already in hand, and Gilmer still scored as many late to match those of Glen Rose.  I wouldn't use a Glen Rose offensive tally in the game last week to measure Gilmer's defense......esp. if the game is reasonably close at halftime.  Bellville will have to prove they can stay with Gilmer's offensive juggernaut.  The team that scores the most points.....WINS!!

Understood, #2 Silsbee had a D1 player at nearly every skill position. Do you believe that they were slow? If so, exactly how much slower do you believe all of Silsbee D1 skill players to be than Gilmer? Including 5 star Drelon Miller?

Not sure where you get that Bellville has to score on "time consuming drives", You do understand that Bellville has scored more points than Gilmer? Do you think it was by scoring on "time consuming drives"?

how many times has Bellville BEEN HERE? IT may be a bit big for the team and community.
