The Longview game simply isn’t competitive anymore. We both beat Nac easily. We both lost big to Longview. We both lost to Tyler in close games. Just wanting a game against someone in our competitive neighborhood. Getting blown out by Longview is a waste of snaps. Well maybe Hammett and company can figure it out cause Longview isn’t going off the schedule.

You do realize that SH is getting bigger and WO is not right? You should probably try to find a more equal size school...WO is closer to UG in size than they are to SH. You're kidding, right? That's like saying Longview and Pine Tree aren't the typical rivalry anymore! How about Gilmer and Gladewater? Come on now, how about you move on!

centex1 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Has there never been a rivalry between Pine Tree and Spring Hill? Legit asking. I would think there would be. 10 min drive and not exactly same size student wise but closer than others in the area. 2

Spring Hill is 56.41% bigger than WO. WO is 71.81% bigger than Harleton and they had no problem scheduling that game lol.

I expect PT to schedule some 5a especially Hallsville and maybe Marshall/Whitehouse.

Second, I know Pine Tree has a larger enrollment, but I'd love for the Pirates and Panthers to hook up on the gridiron!

PT actually has had some 5A success in recent years... but hoops, baseball, and etc? Most definitely!

Nah, I love the vibe y'all bring for the scrimmage. It's helpful. But a regular season wouldn't be the same. To be blunt, THS is only somewhat a step up from Marshall. Longview fans would prefer a 5A-6A powerhouse for non-district play. 1

I don't know how connected the person is to the program. But that would be odd to make that up. Not like LV and NS have a history that I know of.
