Not about who would win.  I’d just want a competitive game…. Even if we lost.

The Longview game simply isn’t competitive anymore.

We both beat Nac easily.  We both lost big to Longview.   We both lost to Tyler in close games.

Just wanting a game against someone in our competitive neighborhood.   Getting blown out by Longview is a waste of snaps.

Well maybe Hammett and company can figure it out cause Longview isn’t going off the schedule.

It is time for you to move on...WO and SH are no longer the rivals they once were.  You do realize that SH is getting bigger and WO is not right? You should probably try to find a more equal size school...WO is closer to UG in size than they are to SH.

You're kidding, right? That's like saying Longview and Pine Tree aren't the typical rivalry anymore! How about Gilmer and Gladewater? Come on now, how about you move on!

Neither play anymore and Longview and PT are rivals as much as Pine Tree and Spring Hill.

What happened to playing Gladewater? 👀

I don't believe that was a week 2 game. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't play them. I could see a big change in our non district schedule.

Has there never been a rivalry between Pine Tree and Spring Hill? Legit asking. I would think there would be. 10 min drive and not exactly same size student wise but closer than others in the area.

Spring Hill is 56.41% bigger than WO.

WO is 71.81% bigger than Harleton and they had no problem scheduling that game lol.

Both are 4A teams now, so it would be interesting!

It makes much more sense than being "rivals" with Longview. I bet you'd get some competitive games between those two.

Definitely should be a game would be interesting . Hopefully they listen. I expect PT to schedule some 5a especially Hallsville and maybe Marshall/Whitehouse.

PT/H'ville is a pretty good rivalry, especially in court sports. Those student sections can get heated.

Pine Tree’s enrollment is 1265

Spring Hill is 610

Pine tree is 107.4% bigger than Spring Hill.

Maybe in some sport besides football they can start playing.

First, it's Spring Hill, not Springhill! Second, I know Pine Tree has a larger enrollment, but I'd love for the Pirates and Panthers to hook up on the gridiron!

Let’s win a playoff game or two first.  Then we can reach out to PT.

I really don't think they're a good match on the gridiron. PT actually has had some 5A success in recent years...  but hoops, baseball, and etc? Most definitely!

I'd love to change the Longview-T High thing from a scrimmage to a game.

Nah, I love the vibe y'all bring for the scrimmage. It's helpful. But a regular season wouldn't be the same.

To be blunt, THS is only somewhat a step up from Marshall. Longview fans would prefer a 5A-6A powerhouse for non-district play.

Someone on the 6A site said North Shore reached out to Longview but they declined.

For non-district? McKinney High. They gave us a good look for Week 1 last year. Big and talented.

<shrug>  Was that someone on staff at North Shore? Otherwise it's just message board chatter.

thats why id like for T-High play Longview in an actual game. Stanford usually puts together a decent schedule for where we are located.

For sure. If I'm Coach Stanford I'd agree to any terms Longview asked in order to make the game happen.

That would've been a game for the ages! Is Longview scared or are they trying to keep the same ol' non-district schedule they've had since the beginning of time?

I don't know how connected the person is to the program. But that would be odd to make that up. Not like LV and NS have a history that I know of.
