How worried is Dallas about their run defense. Put Sweat beside Mazi Smith and the Cowboys have the base of their run defense for years. I don't think he will last that long. Get rid of Mazi Smith and stop drafting Michigan DL!

I would be worried if Sweat could play at a high level for more than 2-3 plays at a time because of his weight.

You only need two plays if the defense keeps it 3rd and long.

All the pundits don’t know everything. Smith is slow, bad technique, doesn’t have the strength they claimed he does, makes bad reads, slow off the block. He’s simply not good. I’ve said this from the moment they drafted him.

He was drafted weighing around 330 and played his rookie year around 300……….As far as the NFL goes, unless he drastically improves his burst off the ball and technique, he won’t last many years at 300……At 330 he will/would/could be good at plugging a gap/requiring a double team.

Well its not like I watch a lot of Cowboy games anymore. I'm a draftnik more than anything (except college football) at this point. Every rating site had Mazi Smith in the first round. I get flak every time I question a recruit because of his rankings. I am told Sark doesn't go by that. On BO.

Lobo97
Spring Game in the books. My overall assessment, they look VERY good! Players and units that stood out to me the most... Arch Manning. For all of those that have doubted this kid, he was not the #1 QB for name alone. This kid is special. Trey Owens. My goodness, this kid was very impressive. True Freshman QB and he looked every part of a 2 year starter. I hope Texas can hang onto this kid. Colton Vasek. This kid is about to wreak havoc. His name was being called nearly every play; blowing up runs in the backfield, getting pressure on the QB. That kids talent level and motor is incredible. OL as a whole was very impressive. Colin Simmons. He'll get snaps this season, but this kid showed the talent to be 3 and gone. RB and WR. 27 different players caught a pass. 7 different players carried the ball. Ryan Wingo, DeAndre Moore, Isaiah Bond, they showed out. Wingo and Moore showed tons of speed. Bond showed the ability to go up and grab like AD did last season. All in all, this was by far the most impressive spring game I've seen from them in years. 2
514
I am with you on Qb Trey Owen’s. He looked real good. Going to be hard to keep him unless he is patient and truly loves being in Austin.
bordertown
Impressed by both Manning & Owen’s. I liked Malik Murphy, but feel we are truly 3 deep at the QB position. Also Wingo is going to be special. He not only showed he can catch the ball, but yards after catch will be part of his game.
514
The way Ringo adjusted to that last td was impressive.

He played at the same school Peyton and Eli both did, mind you, lol.
Lobo97
Starting CB Terrence Brooks has entered the portal. Apparently, Terry Joseph wants to start Gavin Holmes over Brooks, which is what led Brooks to wanting to transfer. A big mistake on Joseph's part, IMO. Brooks was the second best corner, behind Muhammad.

Sometimes competition runs some kids off now days. 1

I just don't understand this generation.
