Stoney Posted January 3, 2024 Author Posted January 3, 2024 @JohnnyFootball @WETSU @Lion7000 one of the craziest stories I've heard today. Rumors that a certain portal player could be coming to A&M for a visit. Reports now that it's true as of today. 1

Fingers crossed it would be a good get.
Lion7000 Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 He also has some baggage so anything can happen good or bad. Hopefully he learns his lessons.

This was early this morning when it was just a rumor so 247 staff knew something was up. Rumors that if he comes back he's on a strict one screw up and your out. You're done. Will Elko roll the dice? Can he keep him in check?

WETSU Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 I’m not sure how I feel about Denver coming back. The position group definitely needs some help, but honestly it needs an experienced veteran that can be counted on to be a mentor to the freshman that played the bowl game. 1

Julian Humphrey in the portal I think would be a better fit chemistry wise except for the fact Bobby Taylor and him don't get along.

Not an Aggie fan, but I wouldn't like it if it was my team. Counting on a coach to watch over him sounds like trouble will follow. It also can hurt any idea of accountability. On the other hand it could work perfectly, and some coaches are willing to take that chance.

These kids mean nothing to the program until they hit the field. Transferring happens way too often. Also there were 0 bright spots on this LSU defense this year. So take that for what it’s worth 1
Lion7000 Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 Aggies are going strong into the portal. Elko is quietly pulling off probably # 1 transfer class. I am not getting too excited but I am optimistic.
justafan903 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Liking what Elko and staff are doing in the portal. Guys that have produced at the college level in areas of need. Wouldn’t mind another LB’er or 2, but with the emergence of York it’s not as bad. If Denver really wants to be an Aggie, the leash should have no lead. Talent is there, discipline and maturity haven’t been. He should be close to 20 now, maybe just maybe they can make it work. Have heard Chris Marshall might want a reunion too. Little more skeptical on him. His big body type is a need I feel like in the WR room, but I think he ended up at Kilgore after he flamed out at Ole Miss. Not sure on him at all.
