He didn't they are at the bottom. The only SEC team they play ranked in the top 15 is Georgia.

It's not Texas's fault that 0U sux.

Amazing an OU fan not wanting their team ranked...

Yeah, my bona fides as the resident Sooner doom-poster are well-established.  ;)

But seriously, as good as the score looked, I watched every snap, and I've done a couple "all-22" viewings of a few series.

Temple is an extremely poor overall football team. Extremely poor. As bad as we made them look overall (i.e. in the final score), we made their defensive line look pretty good. That is a problem. Our QB was sacked multiple times and our starting RB averaged less than three yards per rush. That is a problem. Our WR1 and WR2 are now out for the season. That is a problem.

Are we improved from a year ago? Certainly! Is there reason for enthusiasm this year? Absolutely!

Will we lose at least three games this season? Also yes.

Thus, are we a Top 10 team? Not even close.

There is absolutely no reason for OU to be ranked higher than in the "teens" at any point this season. Frankly, I expect us to hit our "peak" ranking this season at around 13th before our inevitable three-game losing streak that will follow (Tennessee, Auburn, Texas).

You won't know anything about Oklahoma until they play the real UT on 9/21.

WR1 is the transfer from Purdue. Losing Farooq hurts. Gibson was just all about potential. Anderson should be back.

The OL is banged up. The starting RT and starting Center didn't play against Temple. I don't they will ever be great this year, but they can be average.

RB will be fixed when we stop pretending like any of those older guys are special and just play Taylor Tatum.

I dunno, I feel like I'm pretty reasonable. I think we'll start off pretty solid. We should beat Houston and Tulane. I think both teams'll give us pretty good looks at a few problem areas, which will allow the coaching staff to shore up some vulnerabilities. But things will take a turn regardless of the RRS outcome (which we all agree is impossible to predict).

Our game at Auburn will be our first real "welcome to the SEC" moment. The crowd and War Eagle and physicality will be too much to overcome. South Carolina may be more our speed with what they're having to replace on both sides of the ball, but our o-line will prevent anything more than a 10- or 14-point win. Ole Miss will be ugly. The outcome of that game will never be in doubt. We'll get a week off against Maine (thank you SEC overlords!) but it'll be back to pound town against 'Bama and the Bayou Bengals. We'll manage to score some low-hanging bowl where again (thank you SEC overlords) we'll probably face some poor overmatched shlub. But it won't matter, because even if we lose we'll be able to say we didn't want to be there. SEC. SEC. SEC! SEC!!! SEC!!!!!!

Dude! I am really trying to not be a Lobo homer, but C'MON maaaannnn! Taylor Tatum has looked like the man from the moment he walked on campus. I have never understood the Sawchuck hype. There's more to being RB1 for Oklahoma than simply having been on campus the longest. He has yet to show me anything that warrants "incumbent" status, and Barnes even less so.

As far as I was concerned, RB1 was and is absolutely up for grabs. As far as I'm concerned, we need to start Tatum and let him get fully acclimated to the college game. He's got first-day draft potential. Sawchuck is just a rehashed Kejuan Jones.

That was namely a jab at Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Alabama. I saw them bragging on Facebook lol! It was expected at Texas ! Now if y’all do Michigan dirty in the big house then by all means , boast!

If you watched Oklahoma play defense the last decade then holding a team to 3 is always something to be excited about for us.

Fair enough I wasn’t meaning that as a troll just thought was kinda funny about celebrating a Dominance of an inferior team. I won’t get excited when A&M woodsheds Mcneese state . ( I just know it somewhere in Louisiana), however , I will be greatly concerned if it remotely close lol!

I appreciate the helmets, but the jerseys just look off to me. I think it’s the dark red and not crimson.

Well crimson is dark red. The actual jerseys are more red than crimson.
