If everyone is at full strength, I think 1-5 are all within 14 pts of each other and Sabine is good enough to win on any given night with a few things going their way.  White Oak should be better but still waiting to see how much better.

Should be fun to watch

Yeah this district is loaded. We’d probably be a favorite to make the playoffs in some districts. Excited to see what Gilbert and company do in year 3.

With Gilbert being in yr 3 and having a strong senior class I think this could be Gilbert's best team.  Not sure about their depth but I won't be surprised if Sabine sneaks into a playoff spot.  I just think they need a few things to go their way that didn't last year.

IMG_4798.jpegKilla Kam !!

I think Kam is ready for an MVP type season if he stays healthy and the OL performs.  I also think Coach Taylor and staff will make a big difference in Jtown.  With the upgrade in facilities (new weight room) and Coach T bringing the PG Way to Jefferson, the Bulldogs underachieving days could be over.

Yes Kam is looking way better this offseason. Put on some weight pounds and maintained his speed

Coach T has a bunch of weapons with majority of the starters returning

What are some players to lookout for this season? Of course we know about Kam btw, the new Jeffy RB coach is a LE alum who played several years in the NFL he will be able to help his progress for sure.

I like the fact that the boys will need to earn respect. They’ve had perfect attendance at summer workouts and are working hard. We were extremely young last year. We will still mostly be sophomores and juniors this year. Should be improvement on both sides of the ball.

All facts everybody will have to earn it ppl, just expected us to be the fav moving down from 4a and we're picked 3rd rightfully so.., who are some players to watch out for on yall's squad this year?

The number 1 player to look for is Carsin Cooper at RB. As a sophomore last year he got better and better as the season progressed. He has good size, vision and quick feet. He is a hard working kid and I don’t think he’s stopped working since the day football ended. Brayson Woods who was also a sophomore last year is another solid player to watch. He will lineup at WR and QB at times running the wildcat. He is a good size kid with better than average speed and strength. I expect the new QB will be Luke Brown. He is a solid athlete and will most likely play college baseball. Luke was also a sophomore last year and will be even better this season. He obviously has a good arm but will need to settle in at the position and get confidence. He got some time last year which should help.

Wideout Chis love who just received his first D1 offer, Jermaine Hopkins at wideout who started as a freshman last year, Our qb Tihmyus Taylor passed for over 1900 yards which is alot for jefferson who has always been run heavy

A kid who is under the radar who i believe should start in the slot Jakyrie Johnson. The kid is shifty and quick

Jeffy will be fast at all positions but if i’m being honest not as fast as recent years

Collectively, I think Jefferson has the best skill position players in the district but I say this with little knowledge of what LE has.  From what I have seen, I don't think anyone in the district can put a better 3 headed monster on the field than Taylor, Kam, and Love.  If Jefferson is solid on the OL they could have a very potent offense

Lots of mention of skill kids.  Who will have the best OL?  Who will have the stoutest defenses?

I was gonna wait to speak on that after 7on7 season lol

Losing Bryce Clark will hurt a bit. That was a big, strong dude who could move.  I would think Nelson would make a pretty good leap on both sides of the ball after getting valuable experience as a freshman.  I didn't see you mention Travis Gray, Jr when talking about skill kids.  He had a pretty good freshman year as well.

We have some solid kids moving up from the JV OL that should have a big impact. We also are starting the second season under a new hard working OL coach. We should definitely be better but I’ll wait to see how they stack up against the other teams in the district before I’ll say where they rank.

I've said before that I think GW has some of the most physical and aggressive (dare I steal "nasty" from our WO friend?)  kids in the district and from what I have seen their OL is usually one of the best in the district.  Know one in the district runs the GT counter better, imo.

Yes his big brother is the OC very talented family.. we should be more of a rb by committee this year we have a kid that is returning who shared carries and a talented sophomore should get some carries also!

Jefferson does look loaded plus the new staff will be great! As far as us we have some talented athletes returning one being the Prevo kid he’s going to be a junior this year.. very very talented!

Cooper is a beast I actually have seen some of his highlight he should be getting some D1 offers if not already!
