Yeah we usually schedule 2 state champs and 3 teams above our division. With a fairly young team I’m not totally opposed to this approach. There’s still some quality teams but nothing the likes of Malakoff and Gunter.

The offense started to come around during district when we found a few formations that had success. What I’d like to see this season is that we run the same offense in preseason as we intend to run in district. The last few years it has been night and day different. I get having wrinkles for district that aren’t on film but to go from running completely different offenses in preseason and district has to be difficult for the kids to get into a rhythm.
