If you were a kid who cared about football and you could choose between Hooks and Redwater why would you pick Redwater?

Don't know a whole lot about the RW Dragons but I don't think they have lost but one kid to Hooks...checked with a guy that does know a lot about the Dragons and he confirmed that there was only one that was in athletics...another one transferred but wasn't in athletics. They lost several multi sport kids to PG but that was before the last AD that just left was there.

Well and just to point this out those kids that did transfer to PG did so to take advantage of academic opportunities that were not afforded to them at Redwater. Just wanted to clear that part up.

Redwater has chosen their new AD...here is the press release:

 

REDWATER ISD ANNOUNCES NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH...COACH BRYCE HAUGH. He will transition to his new position effective April 15.

Read More About Coach Haugh below...

Coach Haugh has coached for 19 years. He was born and raised in Texarkana, TX and graduated from Liberty-Eylau High School. Following high school, he attended Texas A&M-Texarkana earning a Bachelor's of Science Degree in History. He began his coaching career at Liberty-Eylau as an assistant football, track, and baseball coach for 10 years. Coach Haugh continued his career in Red Oak serving as Special Teams Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator, and Head Powerlifting Coach for 4 years. He then became the Offensive Coordinator and Head Girls Track Coach at Scurry-Rosser for 3 years before returning to East Texas. Coach Haugh has been with Redwater ISD for three years as the Offensive Coordinator, Assistant Powerlifting, and Head Boys Track Coach. Coach Haugh’s wife, Jessica, is a special education teacher at Wake Village Elementary. They have three boys, Ryder (13), Rhett (9), and Rustin (3). All of which attend Redwater ISD.
