Won't happen. The dollar may not be backed by gold or silver anymore but is backed by the U.S. military.

For some reason this inspires little to no confidence.   Military done gone woke.  They're more concerned with pronouns than patriotism.

Meaning what?  We're gonna roll into China and force them to use the dollar?

Man, I went to Whataburger a couple of weeks ago...it was over $30 for a family of 3.

It's been that way for a while if you get a combo even just a Whataburger.  Sonic's Brown Bag Special that I remember in 1986 was $3.99 for 2 Sonic Burgers, 2 Fries, and 2 Medium Drinks is now $15.99 and that's a special ?  I went to McDonald's Monday, because I haven't at their in a long time.  A Hamburger, a Cheeseburger, a small fry, and a hot fudge sundae was $9.49.  When Trump was in office that was only $4.79.  On top of that, they really don't have someone on the front counter anymore with a kiosk to make your order and pay there.  It doesn't accept cash though.  When I worked at McDonald's back in 1985 if we didn't have your order out in less than 2 minutes they gave the guest a coupon for a free french fry.  I only remember those being given out rarely at the drive thru.

Dang, I went to Braums this morning, got a sausage biscuit and a Large drink, for $2.54, that is totally outrageous!!!!!!

A large drink for under $3, what planet are you living on now ?  The only place I see a large fountain drink for less than $2 is 7-11.  Any bottled or canned drink is over $2 and that's for 12 - 16 ounce drinks.  The only way I drink Dr. Pepper now is to fill up my rinsed out Powerade bottle and fill it up at work for free.  I don't even buy brand name chips anymore, because they are all over $2.29 and they don't even make Big Grabs anymore that I've seen on shelves that were $1.59 before Biden.
