Astros are rolling the dice with a Hail Mary call up of Double AA phenom Jake Bloss who has been dominating in AA pitching only a year after being drafted.   I like the move.  See what you got and quit trying to fool yourselves with the JP Frances of the world.    We will see how this goes.

Got nothing to lose with almost every SP hurt.

It will be interesting to watch and see how he does at the major league level seems to have done really well at AA

I agree and Nick Hernandez along with Montero leave a lot to be desired, a 10 run lead is not safe with those two

Send bagwell and the GM packing now......

I’m cool with the GM. Bagwell has gotta go. Just smile and wave at games. No more decision making…

I agree.   It certainly appears that Bagwell is being allowed to make GM decisions.  Dana Brown needs to be given control or he needs to find himself a new home before his reputation is ruined.

I am NOT a Bagwell fan.  I have to mute the station on the nights he enters the booth with the announcers.

I can't believe we have got back this close without Verlander and Tucker.   I still believe SP will keep us from being a contender.  Only a blockbluster trade could change that and we can't continue to deal what few good prospects we have left

Seattle lead down to 2 games.   No Tucker untll after the All-Star break.  Who knows about Verlander.  How did we get back in this ??????    I still don't see the starting pitching to stay here, but I didn't see this run coming either.

Blanco has been a surprise and Brown has come back from his depressing start and Spaghetti has been hit and miss but had some good starts. Valdez looks better after he blows a lead and then he settles down, Singleton battering average is coming up close to Bregmans. Alvarez got hot at the right time. They have surprised me

Oh and the bullpen seems to be doing better not all of them but the big three Abreu Presley and Hader seem to be coming along now and that Scott fellow hasn’t been bad

The Astros pathic bullpen showed its pathic rump tonight, lucky we had a 8 run lead going into the 9th, gave up 7 pathic runs turned a blow out into a sweater
