Saw 10.39, 10.40 top 2 in region 1

With the wind or against the wind makes a big difference.  Your guy has a really good chance to win.

Should be a very competitive race for sure

No one really knows if he has another gear.  He hasn’t been in a competitive race yet.  He gets out front in the first 10 steps and cruises.  Hoping he can bring home the gold!

Most years basketball

Because most of the boy athletes at football until Christmas.  Basketball isn’t given a chance.  When football is over, most years district basketball games have already started

Same here with football but we stay in the top 15 in basketball.

Similar at a school near me in Graford.  Decent run in football, state runs in basketball.  Basically leaves their basketball and baseball seasons really short

Gunter is not “bad” in basketball. Seems like they usually are in the playoffs but run into Ponder or Dallas Madison at some point.

BTW their girls side is stinking solid too. They finished second at regionals and the Elmore girl is pretty gifted! Watched her HJ 6’0” at regionals when she was a sophomore I believe, right after she just won the shot put.

Kid is a STUD! if he wouldn't have had the knee surgery he would be looking down at the state record all ready. Wish him the best.

Yes, Congrats to Max and his parents...I understand conditions were very bad for this event and the winning height reflects that...Max and Pratt Mclain from Gruver ended up clearing 15.6 and both missed three times on 16 feet. Max had few misses on lesser heights so he won the gold.
