Looks like they anticipate every coach to leave LOL

I’ve never seen a job opening posted like that before. To be posted one would think the job is currently “open.” 🤷‍♂️

“Anticipated” 🤔

How does that work?

He probably has told them he was leaving and taking a new job but he has not officially resigned pending signing his contract at new job.

Makes sense. Get that resignation in hand and make the post! Lol I wouldn’t think many applicants would want to go through the application process if it is currently “anticipated.”

Anyway, to each his own. Good luck to the Bulldogs in their (anticipated) search!

I think their coach (Day) went to Carlisle, but didn’t stay at Carlisle. Not sure what happened after that. MaxPreps has George Taylor listed as the coach for the 2023 season.

Cody Day is at Elkhart.....

Coach Day went to Carlisle for a day or 2, went back to Colmesneil, and ultimately went to Elkhart.

In all seriousness, I feel  awful for all the student athletes that play football at Colmesneil.  The revolving door the last few years has been moving so fast its starting to blow people away from this place. They can never establish culture or an Identity. For the senior class who is on the 3rd or 4th coach coming up, I apologize from all of us on the outside.

You are 100% right.

Consistency at many small schools is almost nonexistent any more. Finding coaches who are knowledgeable, committed, hard working and loyal to places like Colmesneil, West Harden and Linden Kildare are unicorns.

There was a time when coaches wanted to be in these towns and would stay for their entire careers or until they wore out their welcome. Now, so many coaches are simply using these towns as stepping stones to bigger and "better" jobs.

It is next to impossible to get kids to be committed and really buy in if they know the coach (and entire staff) is going to be leaving before they graduate.

I wouldn't be so fast to blame the coaches this time......

Not blaming anyone.

I do not know ANYTHING about this situation.

Just speaking in generalities about what "usually" happens in these situations.

That generality doesn't hold on this one.......

We’ve lucky over here in Lovelady for a while. Having Coach T , Coach Lowery And Coach  K. Before them it was a different coach every year like colmesneil is.
