People not really beating down the door to go to Colmesneil. Probably just settled and went with a guy with HC experience no matter what his HC record is.

Agreed. Doubt many young aspiring HC's are going for this one...sometimes the applicant pool is going to be extremely limited.

What the heck, is this guy putting on his cover letter/ resume? He needs to sell a book.

The power brokers at colmesneil got the guy they wanted.

26-86....man go get an assistant job somewhere that can win

Have you ever sat in the chair?  Sometimes there are a lot of things that go into a record that have nothing to do with the guy's ability to coach.  I don't know the guy.  Never met him.  But I've sat in the chair.  I've won...a lot.  I've lost...a lot.  And the one thing that was always consistent was my coaching ability.

Comments like this are ridiculous.  If I were an admin you would be banned.

For all you guys that THINK you know what it takes to be a HFC need to go get a degree, certification, experience, and then get a job.  Come talk to me then.  Ya'll are what is ruining high school sports and driving good young coaches from the profession.

I understand.  If you've sat in the chair then you understand.  I'm fed up with armchair, Saturday quarterback, check writing so my kid is on select, paying for showcase camps so my kid can be seen by pay to play coaches, can't draw up the difference between GT and inside zone blocking schemes, D-Bat facility renting so my kid is the starter, don't know how to use a first and third situation, can't explain how to hedge the screen on a pick and roll parents that have ruined what used to be one of the greatest professions in the world.

Where's the Tylenol?!

Welllll, I can draw up the GT and inside blocking schemes, but you can forget the rest. No thank you. I'm perfectly happy within the safety of the admin bldg.
