Matt,

Check the information on the link and also your article on Texas Football. It only lists "Pool A" information and nothing else.

Should be fixed thanks

How did both teams look

They were clearly the best 2 teams there. Kilgore won the championship game.... headed to College Station for state tourney at end of June.

Agree CH and Kilgore were 2 best teams but I wouldn't necessarily say "clearly".  Jefferson gave CH all they wanted in the first pool game, 30-28.

Congrats to Kilgore for advancing to College Station

Jefferson was missing 5 starters as well including the QB..they have a good looking group...I was very impressed

Jayden

CH hardly threw Jayden way. His younger brother opposite side, had 3 picks. Secondary for Kilgore will be unmatched.

The entire day Jayden impressed me...both sides of the ball...he made a tremendous catch on offense vs CH along their sideline as well...Kilgore may have the best defense in 4A...that DL will be nasty

Jayden is a definitely a go getter! The Defensive Line and Secondary will be the strength of the team in my opinion.  I know Coach is excited about the season.

You might to re-think that statement. Carthage brings back 9 on defense

D line starting three years and all linebackers are back.

No need to rethink, right now on paper I'd slightly lean to Kilgore's defense

Splitting hairs but Carthage brings back eight starters from a defense that allowed 13.85 ppg a year ago

Kilgore brings back eight starters from a defense that allowed 16.43 ppg a year ago....

Pretty close, but I think Kilgore's competition week in and week out was better last year as well...the one common opponent they played was Giilmer.....Kilgore allowed 23 and Carthage allowed 47...

We’ll all have a chance to see both of them play on the same field in Carthage in Week 1.

it will be tough sledding for Kilgore early on....breaking in a new QB and an entire OL...will for sure be leaning on the defense early on until the offense figures things out...playing Carthage defense week 1 will definitely be a tall task and a big learning experience

Let me be clear..I think Carthage will win the game over Kilgore...Carthage is the more complete team, but if we are just talking individual units I'd give the nod to Kilgore's defense

Three D linemen have started since they were sophomores three linebackers over 6ft and 200 pounds, two were sophomores and one was a junior, that has started since he was a sophomore. Defensive end that played in every game and two in the secondary that were both sophomores. My money is on the Dawg defense.
Several DI kids on both sides of the ball for the C Dawgs. Kilgore is always very talented with athleticism all over the field. Can’t wait to watch this game.
