Son, you are straight up in lock step with the "teachers union" position on this issue .... you won't even touch the possibility of a voucher system providing better educational opportunities for some .... you can't go there, won't go there,  ....  you got Meathead's deflection and denial strategy down pat .....

I’ve yet to meet a teacher in my area that was for the voucher system. All staunch conservatives. If there isn’t a Mrs Kirt, you should try and get a date with fancy pants Lyndsey Graham. I think y’all would hit it off.  @RETIREDFAN1 has you pegged lol. You’re just as lockstep as Barry.

Listen Numby, Why don't you read up above a few quotes, or even the one I provided below.....and maybe you'd learn something. I am not against vouchers, I am against giving people money that does NOT belong to them......But understanding has never been a motto of a RINO, they usually just are lock in step with the democrats. I bolded what you should probably learn.....

And I think I have said this time and again, and at LEAST 2 times in this thread.......And you think I am close to meathead, coming from Archie Bunker.....that is down right funny.

And I agree, property taxes increase for most of us each year at the maximum....And if the governor or legislature were allowing us to place a portion of our property taxes into an educational savings account or a personal Roth IRA, I would be fine with that. But taking all other revenue from the state and giving it away to individual, it is just WRONG...

He is on shaky ground, at best .... and it sounds like he is in denial about a voucher system providing a better educational opportunity for some students .... he's walking the party line with the "teachers union" even though Texas doesn't have one officially ....

my mother in law is retired teacher and I could swear she was in union, but hey, apparently I'm mistaken.  It happens.😃

My mother in law smokes cigarettes all day long and gripes about others not working while sitting on her porch. Trump flag a waving. I want to yell at her “do you know how stupid you sound and look!” but I still like relations with my wife lol.

Well close, I am for vouchers if they were using money from an individual's property taxes.......I am against vouchers handed out by the government as a social welfare program for the donors and elites. I don't even care if the riches of rich folks get to keep the first $8K of their property taxes to a local school district. After that, they pay what is due.

I can't believe that someone that is suppose to be a staunch (laughable) conservative would want their tax dollars being handed out to anyone as a social welfare program.....which vouchers are.....just another social welfare program......

But then again, I remembered, you are a RINO and attend the same meetings as our resident liberals......

There is a difference in tax dollars, or their should be. Property taxes are LOCAL taxes, and should ALWAYS stay local. Where as, sales taxes go to both the local and state governments.

Why should the state government, who is suppose to provide public services, handing out OUR tax dollars to people for an "educational tax account"?

Will you get the $8K also as a retired old gas maker?

But if it were only set to LOCAL property taxes, then EACH of us could qualify for either an "educational tax account" or a "roth IRA" account, or just a pass on the first $8K of our property taxes.

Again, think outside the box, instead of limiting yourself to "it all comes for tax $$" because there are more than just a single type of tax dollars. SMH

He said he wanted no taxes.  Vouchers gives their tax money back to them to spend on either a public, private, or charter school.  I don't believe in charters after the 5th grade since I found out that a "teacher" there doesn't have to be certified and can teach with only an Associates Degree.  I actually don't have a problem with that if they are teaching 5th grade level or lower, because even a high school graduate could teach those classes.  Above that I think they need more knowledge on the subject matter they are teaching.

1. The Marxist way is to take your money and not give you your choice of where your child goes.

2. Rural schools have caved to the Federal woke programs to keep the dollars flowing. We had an incident here in Fredericksburg when the ISD tried to hide the fact that they were building all sex bathrooms in the new Jr High. All in the quest to retain federal funding.

3. Conservative Marxists?

4. Those of us who no longer have children in the education system or even before they were in school have always paid for public education. Have you ever looked at your tax statement? If you rent, then you wouldn't have a clue.

Voucher systems NEVER WORK!!!!! It is nothing more than a vote buying social program for the religious marxists in this state. NO other states voucher program works, I mean look at Illinois that has had it for years. Wow, that is what you liberal RINOs want, an education system like Illinois, another social welfare program.....

Remember I have warned you all, especially in a couple of years when you are whining like 2 year olds about wasting tax payer dollars.
