nice so we join the 800 win club by end of 2025 season,if we keep up the 10wins a year avg.

2 ships is unacceptable though. Especially when one was during FDR’s presidential tenure. Dozens of pros have roamed the halls of Lobo land. Including Trent Williams. Maybe the best OT in NFL history. First ballot HOF’r

No doubt, it’s unacceptable. Not gonna go into everything cause it’s been beaten to death at this point.

Will definitely say High School Trent was just flat out lazy. Dude realized his potential when he got to OU.

OU coaches must’ve had a crystal ball.

There are several East Texas schools that coulda shoulda woulda won a few more state titles.

Marshall, Texas High, Kilgore, Gilmer just to name a few off the top of my head.

The year Texas High lost their QB in the semifinals was a huge one. 2003?

Don’t even get me started on Marshall.  1988 losing to Dallas Carter in the quarters on a last second hail Mary. 1989 losing to Permian in the semis after a they broke our QBs collarbone.  2004 losing to Ennis on a blocked punt with less than 2 mins left in the game. 2018 losing to Huntsville in the region semifinals on a failed 2 point conversion instead of forcing OT.  We should have at least 2 maybe 3 more state championships. Or more.

But I’d rather have those historic heartbreaking losses than have no history to speak of (like most of the teams in our football district).

JMHO.

The 1 point loss to CS in 2017 lit the fire for the subsequent 3peat for the Bearcats, that’s for sure. Losses can have purpose.

I hate these active district win streaks. Some districts are cupcakes. Congrats you can beat up on much lesser teams

I agree Carthage is usually in a powderpuff district in Little 4a, Aledo has played someone with a pulse I believe one time lol.

I remember the bearcats last district loss..sept 2007 vs Everman. But, the loss that hurt was in the semis the same year vs copperas cove and RGIII

those district winning streaks are still plenty impressive anytime you win 50+ games in a row vs anyone is notable.

Texas High and 2003 is really the one that hurts, not an injury or anything that happened during the game...just a kid making a stupid, stupid mistake

At one time my Alma mater Gregory-Portland had the record for most District Championships in a row at 12. I figured they would be closer to being on one of these lists but only in 60s in playoff wins and the 500s maybe in overall.

You'd be wrong about the Aledo districts. When we are with the county schools its respectable. The past several seasons we have had either Denton Ryan or Timberview and they had really good teams. Also Burleson Centennial and Boswell have gone several rounds deep when they were with us. Cant forget Midlothian, Everman and Stephenville either. All those teams have been good at one point or another when have been in the same district. Our kids have earned it game after game.
