Scrimmages are behind us, I'll stick with this prediction.

I think it’s gonna be this kind of game. I honestly think it’ll come down to the injuries on the Lufkin side. The game will be tight unless they’re having to plug people in at quarterback and and their defensive starters are out .

Defense will be 100% good to go. Had it been a real game both Zion and Hooper would have played. Offensively I'm still waiting on the official word on Johnson. I imagine Gavin would play QB if he can't go. Totally fine with that.

Man how can’t Longview ever find a QB

We have one.. a D1 caliber QB at that. But he’s a sophomore and it’s against the law for king and company to start an underclassmen over a senior.

I kinda disagree with you there on the Texas High perspective.  Whether you believe it or not the Tigers pride themselves on not being intimidated by a superior team. Yes we know you guys are better. Yes we gauge ourselves against you.  Believe me we know it is just a scrimmage.  But we learned about 8 years ago what you guys can do to us. We are going to give you our best shot every time. It isn't our Super Bowl believe me.

I love the energy THS brings to the scrimmages. Y'all give us good looks at things.

I wish this was a game. I see that yall don’t want another Marshall on the schedule. ( I mean no offense in this)!

I have always followed your post and you have always been honest about the Panthers be it good or bad. If you say the defense is gonna be solid i'm gonna go with it. Longview is replacing alot and I would not be surprised if they get out the gate slow this season. I'm gonna go with a gut feeling and take Lufkin in the upset 24-21.

wasn't defense suppose to be solid last year too? saw how that went until lufkin wins longview by 7 late due to better coaching then lufkin.

Last years team was supposed to “give us a run for our money” & the score was 42-0. Definitely won’t be 42-0 Friday but like you said, I’ll believe lufkin beats us when I see it.

Make no mistake Longview should be favored in this game. I'm just going with a gut feeling.

Hopefully we win, but it’ll be close. From what I saw in the scrimmage, the QB can’t throw. Can’t run the ball on every play.

Said it during 7v7 that the QB position should be obvious, but we knew who the coaches were going to go with.

Scrimmage proved it correct.

Not expecting much, other than we know what it's going to take for King to make the switch.

I don't under the senior thing. At all.

Best player should be out there on the field. Let him make the mistakes and build on it for the next two years...but alas. King is going to be the stubborn King he is.

Hoping for the best, not expecting much.

Beat Lp.

To be fair, we always start the season slow.

A Lufkin win would not be an upset at all imo.

Obviously, how Lp's offense does is based on who's at QB imo. D will be solid, we know that.

If Rowe starts and plays the whole game, i think we can still pull it out but a loss Friday wouldn’t shock me.

Weather could be a factor.

Could be wet...team that runs the ball most effectively could have the edge.

Rain is supposed to stop sometime before kickoff but of course it could change.
