True but if memory serves me, the Dawgs had 8 starters out. May not have won that game because LV was very good but it would not have been a blow out. But remember the original statement that sparked the conversation.
CHDog77
It's been awhile and will probably never happen again. In the 2010-2011 season CH had a very talented team. No big name recruits but across the board very good.....any team is beatable if they are "outtalented," regardless of good coaching Edited August 22 by CHDog77

Rarely, rarely, rarely can someone just lineup and beat them straight up China Spring

I don't think we lost another game that season after that, so, thanks?

iRockNewbzz
Why was I tagged with China Spring? Did I ever say Carthage can't be beat? I think I said rarely can a team lineup and straight up beat them @hogpatrol I know that must have hit a nerve and I'm not even from Carthage, just find myself rooting for them regularly in playoffs
HearEmaGrowlin
China Spring beat us with the best team they have ever had, while our QB was nowhere near ready. He was the best option we had, but had their same team played us the next year we would’ve won easily. Shoot, even though we were beaten that night we still had a chance late, but the refs called us for jumping over the center on their first FG attempt, which they missed. CS then made the second chance at it to win the game. China Spring outplayed us that night, but the only two real whippings I can remember us taking were La Vega and Chapel Hill.

BevBrownJr
We’re now within a week of this highly anticipated game. Carthage lost its season opener and has rebounded with 3 wins in a row. San Benito has played 5 games and is still looking for its first win.
Lion7000
Dang it I figured they would be better. At least Carthage can say they beat a 6a team. No one else in the state can say that as a 4a school!

PantherNation2015
At 1:20pm the San Benito coaches should have watched enough film on Carthage today to know what they are up against. Would love to be a fly in the wall in the meeting room.
