I know Newton. lol It's funny.  Some of y'all act like Newton played Wells Junior High football team last week (Wells doesn't play football btw ).  The name of the team did, however, start with a W and and it happens to be WEST ORANGE STARK.  They know a little about football.  Yes, the score was 30-8.  Last time Newton lost to WOS (40-26) was in non-district 2021 and came back the next week 44-3 over Kountze.  All I'm saying is that when you stir teams up who take offense to losing, they just might surprise some folks the next week.  Happens a lot and I just have a hunch.  Leonard is not exactly WOS and Jefferson may be coming in a little over confident because of the lopsided victory and Newton's lopsided loss.  They may very well beat Newton, but I just have a feeling......  Good luck to both teams!

I just feel Jeffy will be solid and have read Newton struggled in their scrimmages. I know, it was just scrimmages but teams loaded with talent don’t tend to “struggle” in a scrimmage. Only reason I feel Newton will be in the game is because of their tradition.

If im being i’m honest WOS stunk last year. Maybe they have gotten back to the usual WOS

Oh I know. Lol Proud to say my brother and I were at the playoff game when y’all beat Celina to end their streak at Garland HS!

Celina had beaten Alto in 1995 by 4 points to start that streak and my brother was on that team his junior year. We had a feeling about Daingerfield ending it so we sat on the Celina side so we could enjoy their loss. Sour grapes I know but sure did feel good to see them unhappy. Nothing but respect for their program but I was definitely pulling for the Tigers on this night!

Lol, surprised Newton played down this much. They normally play higher caliber games in the pre district. If they did not have the incident with Jasper this game would not be on the schedule.
