Lol I get your point. We beat NB 43-0 bc we we did our job! That’s what you do. We do need to play tougher teams but you better get ready to travel. Gilmer was a no, Daingerfield said no, hell even North Desoto said no. So what do you do?

Lol thats all i was saying i wouldnt mind if we scheduled tougher teams😂😂… Relaxxxx

I have no idea, it’s just been a no. Being close to the previous AD he just said DF kept turning us down. He wanted to rekindle the rivalry but he just couldn’t make it happen. DF would be a great choice though

Rivalry????? Jefferson beat Daingerfield one time. Lol 1986 14-7 in quarterfinals on a missed blitz play and the RB slipping by with a great run. BTW with the best players to go thru Jeffy history.  Terry Johnson, Keith &Kevin Smith ect... They went on and beat Cuero that year at State. Isn't that the only championship in Jeffy history? I had to edit because y'all did have a really good player a couple of years back that went D1. I forgot his name, but he was good. University of Arkansas???? Kam was good too and worthy of one of the best players to come through. The first 3 guys along with Ron Jackson also won mile relay at State in track.

Lmao. Look at our pre district schedule. It's actually opposite. Every team we schedule is a bigger school. Two 4as. One being pleasant Grove. I doubt it was from us being scared to schedule Jefferson. Dumb question.

Daingerfield also plays Center and they've made the playoffs the past couple of years. I think they play in the Carthage district. The first matchup Center came to the jungle and blew us out. Last year we played in Center and had them down 28-0, 28-7(?) and they ended up coming back and beating us.

Hey Wolfe you definitely know our history over here. Our previous AD played on the 86 team at starting MLB too. I just don’t understand why it’s so difficult for us to schedule each other. It’d be a great thing to see. Btw…we’ve beaten y’all more than the just 86 season 🤣🤣

Starting to think DF fans are a holes. Shame. I like their players.

I think it could benefit both teams given recent success, but for us I don't know who we would drop.

GW- We schedule Gladewater because they have a variety of run based plays, and purely run based with occasional PA pass sprinkled in.

Tatum- Gives us an opportunity to face a team that uses some version of Slot T/Wing T whatever T you wanna call it

PG- Same as above, but with more athletes across the board (on O & D). Easily best competition we'll face this year

Center- Usually has some good athletes, and decent tune up but could EASILY be replaced with Jeffy. [Like Krooked said, we were up either 28 neil or 28-7 and that's what got us.] I could also be wrong but I think Chase might have been out this game also (like he was vs Timpson)

Drop PG and get Jeffy. Still facing top athletes with a chance to win. That scheduling mess cost Tyler Boyd a perfect high school record. Had no business playing Gilmer those years. Games weren’t even close. He’d be the only QB that was 48-0.

I would personally rather have Jeffy on the schedule rather than PG. But I will enjoy seeing what we can try and do against a team like PG. Just need to come out injury free and it will be worth it.

I know most East Texas history and can't help but call out 🐃🐃 💩 lol. It's all good. Jeffy is improving, but definitely no fear of scheduling in Daingerfield dating back to the 80's. I agree with ya Tabasco it would be great if we played.

Sure ya do buddy! That's why you always talk so good about them lol. Dfield will be Dfield with or without your support 💪

I talk good about the players. Not so much the coach. Nothing against him personally. Just think y’all should have more hardware than y’all do. These current players weren’t even in school yet when the last one was won,  and I’m not taking anything away from those involved in that 3 peat, but there’s been the same level of talent, if not more, on these past 5-6 years as there was back then.

You're right iRN. I think he was out too, but of course I didn't mention it because of the accusation of hiding behind excuses lol

I totally disagree with you about the part about we e had the same level of talent as 08-10 because that's not true at all. We had guys on bench that woukd be superstars on these teams. You don't have to agree or believe me but it ain't even been close.

There been some greats these last 6 years. If they had Bowman youd have a couple more championships in the case. I don’t remember anyone going to Bama back then.

Right. I agree with you about that. But I'm talking about talent of  the whole roster top to bottom. Bubba was a one in a generation.

We can all agree that when DF steps onto a field, 99.99% of the time, they are the most athletic team.

I'm with ya on that because we had multiple D1 players 08-2010

Chris Jones Wr- and Steve Edmond LB University of Texas

Shavion Hatten OL Texas A&M

Donald Bryant-DE Baylor

Keyarris Garrett- University of Tulsa.

Tyler Boyd-SFA Qb.

David Mims Jr-DB Texas State... I feel

like I'm leaving a couple others off. Several D2 players.... Still Cameron Doesn't battled us for State in 2010. They got their revenge in State game 2012

And Coco smith was one of the best backs imo. Undersized so didn't get the credit he deserved. Played just like Barry sanders imo
