A nice conversation about Jeffy putting together a non district schedule that gave them a good look without putting in a lot of travel time turned into Daingerfield getting all worked upped. I think they’re OV Hos. What do you think @Byron smith

all of em !!

Key to this game is DF producing results with tempo.

The Dfield game vs Tatum or a possible game vs Jeffy? Either way we pass the ball quite a bit so we need weather to be on our side. However we need to improve OL play to open up our run. We definitely have skill at RB and Qb

Might as well be this game cause Jeffy gonna roll the Purple Yard Birds, kinda like we'll do to the green version 👀

💯 it might not seem like it, but I'm pulling for Jeffy to win Friday night

That TB from Newton looks like he may be a handful. We’re definitely facing more speed this week than last week which is good for us

He's real good but literally the only guy they had worth anything last year and I'm sure this year (lost their QB so its Porter or bust)

The Eagles look to be down this year with room for improvement, they have to get some fire in their hearts. Hopefully they improve this and win a squeaker.

I truly hope they can find that fire too but hopefully it’ll be later down the road lol

He's awesome. Watched him play against daingerfield in round 4 last year and I think he may be the most impressive Freshman I had seen. He's a sophomore this year but I'm pretty sure all 11 defenders will be keying in him. I don't think newton has anything but him. Which is not newton like.

he say Jefferson had a pretty good player that went D1 some yrs back..lol just over look the ones that we produced that went to the NFL @KrookedWolfe been under a rock some where I played Dfield and we never loss..lol

The players I listed were the ones I thought of immediately.  Never did I say they were the only ones. I focus on Dfield.  1986 is the last I remember and probably most meaningful to most because they went on and won State vs Cuero keeping us from going back to back because we beat them47-22 at State the year before 1985. So as you say y'all beat them before!! That was your Superbowl, but what happened afterwards? How far did ya go?

Thanks lol

I was wondering if I missed something about Jefferson not beating D-field since '86. My freshman yr, varsity beat them in '92. I played varsity 3 years and we beat them in '93, '94. All very good and competitive games. In '96, Jefferson absolutely stunned them in Daingerfield 20-0 if im not mistaken. This was a decent to good Jefferson team.  But D-field had Bubba and Duke. Still don't know how Jefferson kept them out of the end zone and rushed for over 400 yards. By the way, we 13-1 in '94 losing to Atlanta 🙄. Sadly, that's the furthest we've been since 1994
